Alley-oops in a normal 5 vs 5 game

Sun Dec 12, 2004 11:18 am

If I press the Alley-Oop button, the dunker does specific dunks, only for alley-oops (4 or 5, I think). But playing against the CPU, I have seen alley-oops where the dunks realized are the same as the normal dunks using the Lay up/Dunk button. The most crazy alley-oop was from Dwayne Wade to Shaq, he catched the ball while doing a 360 Statue of Liberty thing (it can be done normally, it isnt an alley-oop) and slammed it. How can I do that type of alley-oops?
Once I pulled the same dunk with Vince Carter, in a normal practice.
NOTE: I am not talking about Slam Dunk Contest, I am talking about normal 5 vs 5 game.

I don't think there's any way to force the show dunks on an alley-oop in 5 on 5 play, but I'm guessing it helps if you have a lot of space and are using a player with a great passing rating and another player with great dunking and jumping ratings. I'd say it's simply less frequent for the human player. The CPU has the advantage when it comes to pulling off tough moves.
