Talk about NBA Live 2005 here.

I remember there was a way to make a fake pass in some of previuos lives, but it happened 4 me to forget how to do it. Is it still possible and if yes how ?

Yeah, I used to love that move. If I'm not mistaken it was in Live '98 when you could do that and for the life of me I don't know why they didn't keep that one.....
Oh yeah, you were asking right? Nahh, there's no fake pass in Live 2005.

hmm... I remember that fake pass from 98, it was even on the back of box listed as a feature, but i also don't remember it being any use, only too look good, cos the defenders would never go for the fake anyway.

Couldn't have said it better Mad because you're 100% right, the move was totally useless. I guess I'm a "move junkie" and admittedly I just thought it looked cool!

did 98 have an online feature?
can't remember.... but maybe if they implement it in 2006, it could allow big men like shaq to deter double teams?

Fake pass would be cool, but it's far down the list, if you ask me. I think it was a tap on the pass button to fake? I'd love to control doing a layup versus a dunk via a "tap/press" mechanism like you do with football passes in the football games (lob pass versus bullet pass). You could do something similar with the "alley oop" button where you could control merely passing it to the last guy versus trying for an "alley" (yes, this is automatic at the moment, and done reasonably well).

speaking of alley oops, in Live 98, there was this cool move you could do where you jump up for a dunk, and if there is a teamate on the other side of the hoop, you could press pass and the dunker would throw an alley oop pass to that teamate, and he would dunk it, but sometimes it didn't work and you threw away the pass... but if you made it, it looked awesome.

As I pride myself on useless trivia, the last game to have this feature was NBA Live 2002.

did they have it in 2000?? cos i don't remember it being in 2000

I'm pretty sure it was in NBA Live 2000, executed by holding the Fake button then pressing Pass.

hey, i know this is no remedy, but sometimes, before my player is just about to go high for the layup, i start him off on a spin, then i quickly press square, and it looks as if he is faking a behind the back pass before shooting. it doesn't match an actual fake pass, but it's sweet all the same.
