Research

A little research comes in handy too. Check the stats of your defenders. Like if your using houston and your up against dallas, Use post up plays throughout your game. But if your up against utah or miami, use basket cuts and what not. Not for the obvious reasons like the stars on the team but check this:

When your houston, check your strength and hardiness ratings for yao, howard, taylor and weatherspoon, even with the four big man rotation of dallas, your still stronger than all! Now go for the back down, you'll see that its soooo easy to get your man within the semi circle, once your mans there, go for the dunk or with yao, hold L1 and shoot, (quick release). Easy easy baskets, (if doubled, dish out)

And if they some how stop your progression in getting them in the semi(no foul) zone, then use triangle, i use triangle (ps2) sparingly. Once you get them inside that semi, it will most times than not get you a foul and with the high free throws of your big men with houston, then - easy points.

I don't really get so deeply into playing with different teams, I only play in Dynasty so I only have to worry about my own team.....but just thought i'd drop you that link, cause there's some good info there
