"If it's in the game - it may not be in the game"

EA left out clear path fouls that give the player 1 free throw and possession. They also left out flagrant fouls or technicals.

There are indeed a couple of rules missing. However, they are prohibited from including unsportsmanlike technicals by the NBA. You will get whistled for a technical foul on a defensive 3 second violation or if you call a timeout when you have none left.

Why?

cos the NBA doesn't want a videogame to portrait the "wild" aspect of the league, since it might be a bad example.....

remember when in NHL 98 you could punch with another player till you knocked him down?? you would never see something like that in LIVE.

I think however that the NBA is a way too restrictive. One thing is beating up another player, another one is a flagrant foul or a technical foul to a player complaining too much. Those should be allowed in a videogame.

Yes, I would love to see players like Artest for example have a high "temper" rating. This should lower his overall rating because at anytime he could explode. This would let us see tech. and flagrant fouls in the game (arguing with the ref/pushing a player). Plus it would also only be for certain players.

Not to mention jumping in the crowd and beating up fans.... now would you like to have fans be able to throw beers at the players in Live 2006 as well?

Hey, if it's in the game...it's IN the game. Talk about crowd interaction.

Fighting in NHL was also included in NHL 2003. Just my 2 cents! lol

That would require them to make a detailed crowd.
