I'm soooo disappointed!
In my dynasty with Memphis, before an important game against Minnesota I bought a couple of dynasty extras (rebounding and 3pt shooting) to help my team to win the game.
Results:
- The T-Wolves outplayed me at rebounding pulling down almost twice as many as mine
- in the second half, I made 0 out of 13 from 3 pt, including some missed shots from Mike Miller, completly unguarded (is the 3pt training supposed to increase your rating by 4 for the next game?????)
Not only I just trown away 600 dynasty points, but I also feel there is no way to wn when the CPU wants to win..they just cheat.
It sucks big time!!!!

I never use those anymore since i found out it doesn't really work, and if it does it's only for a few games or the season, so it's not worth the dynasty points. I'd rather train my players rather than buy dynasty extras.

agreed

.......but the training does have some effect- but it's not like raising a guys 3pt rating from 30 to 34 is going to do much good. definitely not worth 600pts. unless you use the 50,000 dynasty points cheat

No I don't....
Well, thanks for answering, I guess I'll only use training from now on. The only problem is that it takes me 1 month of games for saving 2,500 dynasty points...this year they are so hard to earn.

I've found that Dynasty extras are effective when simulating, but when it comes to playing the games you still have to rely on your own skill and timing.

if you use training for upping the shots, like 3ptrs... you have to set shot control to "cpu" instead of the default "user".

if that is true, that is really dumb. does anyone actually use cpu shot control?

I used to earlier in the series, but as the games have improved the User shot control has been a much better option.

This is an interesting point.
It might be true actually. For what I know, when you use CPU shot control, the shot goes in or out depending EXCLUSIVELY on the rating of that specific player.
On the other hand, when you use the User shot control, the percentage of your shots depends on how you release tha ball AND on the rating. That should be proved by the fact that if I release a 3pt perfectly with Reggie Miller, it goes in more often than if I release it perfectly with Jamal Tinsley.
What do you guys think?

I prefer User control for that very reason. As I said the improvement in the animations has made it easier to determine a good release, so I prefer to entrust the shot to a combination of the player's ratings and my own skill/timing.

thank you all for answering my question in mind... "what AGAIN is the difference of user and cpu controlled shots?" hehehe.
