I'm using a PS2 gamepad connected to the PC and I can use all its 10 buttons (plus analog mode if I switch to).
However, this year I can't find a way to call plays like in 2004, I mean holding playcall button + action button 1, 2, 3, 4. No plays are called this way, but a timeout / intentional foul is called instead.
I tied to configure quickplays on the keyboard (i.e., keys 1, 2, 3, 4), but they are unresponsive. Also tried to configure playcall button on another pad button, it didn't work.
Is there a way to configure the quickplays in the keyboard while using a gamepad for the main action?
I found a file XGAMEFNC.CFG in \main\cscripts folder which seems to contain keys definition code. Anyone tried a workaround?

bro, i think play calling shoul be in a diferent key combination, when you press or hold playcalling it will call a timeout or intentional foul. when you mapped it in the keyboard it will not work unless you use also the keyboard in the game controller, but it will give you 2 user controlled player.
i think EA wanted us to use 12 or more game pad buttons, it sucks!!!
