PC Passing AI subpar

I dunno about anyone else but I find the CPU doesn't make many smart passes to better themselves. For the most part they ignore whatever cutters there are and either pass it into the post, swing it around or most often take their man one on one. Is there a way to change this, or just a thing with the game?

It's the AI, and sometimes they make dumb choices, but I do see that they are pretty good at finding the open man. Even though they don't make passes to cutters, throwing the ball into the post is realistic.
