after playing around 2 hours, I had some comments on the User Interface of Live 2005 (PC).
Goods
1. first of all, the User Menu is quite impressive (anyway, this is not news for the console users).
It's thousand times better than last year regarding the response time.
You don't have a chance to wait for the next screen, it shows when you click.
2. If you are looking around the roster or any other lists of players.
You will see the player's photo when the mouse cursor rolls over the player's info. No delay, very impressive.
3. Marv Albert & Mike Fratello will sometime tell you the description in some session.
Bads
1. How come the "ESC" key is not usable when I pause a game. I'was happy the "ESC" key was back in function last year, but EA takes it out this year.. strange. And it's ULTIMATELY inconvenient for me.
I play the game in 1280x1024, the mouse cursor is very small and it's a long way to click the "resume game" or the back arrow key.
I'm hoping that there are some other keys replaced the "ESC" key.
2. While you are watching your players stat during or after the game, you
cannot sort any column. Actually EA takes out the sort button in this screen... (luckily the sort button is still in other lists in the Dynasty menu)
3. I HAVE TO use the mouse to select my controller. I used to press the navigation (the analog stick) for select the controller, but I can't do it no more this year.
though the bads are some minor issues, I hope EA will take a note on these minor things to make the game perfect.
