Players rating change

Mon Oct 25, 2004 3:02 pm

Does anyone know what triggers player rating changes? I noticed that player rating changes just from playing a few games without using training sessions. For example, Luol Deng's rating went up from 59 to 62. Al Jefferson's rating went up from 56 to 58. I couldn't figure out what triggered it.

Probably they are playing better?

Still waiting on the PC release...

Do the stats change for everyone or is it just the rookies? I've seen a couple of posts like this, but they've all had reference to rookies?

So I was wandering if they had implemented one of my "rookie steal possiblity" scenarios. The one which has the rookies start with a set of ratings, but the ratings would change during the rookie season by the way they play in the games. This way you could possibly have a guy that starts his rookie season with 47 overall and ends it with 55, and he would end up being a steal from the late first round or something...

Do the stats change as much for the veterans or is it just the rookies?

One more thing I had conjured was that the rookies have some sort of a "fake" ratings right after the draft and the real statistics would be revealed later on during the season. So you could trade your #2 pick with overall 68 for a more veteran player and once the season would begin the rookies real ratings would be revealed and he'd end up being a 64 overall. Or you could trade for a 55 overall guy in the off-season and he'd start the season with 58... It could work both ways... And it would be simple to sort of "fool" the player and the CPU on the matter.
