EA Sports buy 2 get one free

Talk about NBA Live 2005 here.

EA Sports buy 2 get one free

Postby Ruff Ryder on Sat Sep 25, 2004 9:09 am

I don't know if this belongs here so move it if necessary.
http://www.gamespot.com/news/2004/09/23 ... 08303.html

Secondly, Jenson announced that EA is launching an across-the-board, buy-two-get-one-free promotion for any EA Sports title.

Hmm, if I get Madden and Live, I guess I'll get March Madness or NCAA football 2005 free. :D (Y) (Y)

Pretty good move imo, considering they sold out of Madden collector's edition too.

Thats messed up, I JUST bought Madden for PC after having to wait like 3 weeks. I still have the receipt, they should honor Madden because it is a 2005 game.

And they need to stop bullshitting us PC users and make March Madness and Fight Night for us as well.

I bought Madden in August. I'm not buying any more EA Sports games other than NBA Live 2005 this year (probably) so I can't use the offer... oh well. I hope they decide to extend the time period to back then.

Think about it, what games will you actually play? How about just buying Live? Don't buy into a sale for the sake of buying into a sale. Buy it because you actually want it.

Hate to add this in, but it still doesn't compare to ESPN's $20 game tactic. I can buy ESPN NFL, NBA, and NHL 2K5 for a combined price of $60(plus tax). In my mind, the fact that I'm actually buying the better game and spending much less money, makes this deal much more attractive...Sorry. Had to throw that in.

I'm not gonna buy into it. The only EA Sports game I'll be buying this year in Live(Yes. After much contemplating, I've decided to buy both ESPN and Live). Just because I've been offered a nice deal, I know that when it's all said and done, two of those games will end up eating dust on my shelf.

This is the best offer for video games I have seen lately. MY favorite games are EA Sports games so I will be able to buy a game that I have never been able to buy before. I was thinking buying Live, Tigerwoods, and taking home a free copy of NHL or Nascar(both tight games).

Gotta love it.

How do we get this deal? Do we send receipts to EA? Is there a form? I still have my receipts for Madden & NCAA lying around somewhere.....

EDIT

Gamespot said:
Subsequent information provided by EA to GameSpot outlined the deal. "Consumers who buy two new EA Sports titles between September 27 and November 14 can get a coupon online for a third free game," said a representative for the company, who said details would be forthcoming on the official EA Web site.

Man, us Euros get burned again. Not only is this offer not valid here apparently, no, we also gotta pay higher prices for the individual games.

Play.com, which is the by far cheapest online shop for all of Europe, has NBA Live PC in stock for about 40€ (~50 US), and the console versions are 10 more bucks. (play has most PC titles for 27€, only EA games are more expensive)...

Thanks EA!

You've always been able to buy them. They're just cheaper now. If they were games you'd actually play, you'd have bought them already.

Just ask yourself this, would you have bought them had they not been on sale? I'm guessing not. The reason they wouldn't be worth your $50 is because you wouldn't play them a lot, or at all. So even if you can buy them, you're still not gonna play 'em. Spend your money on games you'll actually play.

if you could combine this offer with games that are due to be released but are not out yet i would jump all over it. live gloveguy said, odds are most people already have the games if they really wanted them, sale or not.

I remember a deal like this about 9 years ago for the Sega Genesis. I got the original Live and EA Sports' Andretti racing, and got FIFA for free in the mail. Nice to see this deal come back! I'm thinking this time I may go for Live (duh), Madden (don't have it yet) and get FIFA or the boxing one for free. I was thinking of getting Madden anyway, and I haven't had a FIFA game for a few years, so the timing is great!
