Talk about NBA Live 2005 here.

Thank goodness that NBA Live 2005 includes a new, improved Create-a-player. I always created myself to start a franchise with, but last year it just wasn't the real thing

. But a month from now...
Me - SG/PG
6'7, 230 (low fat, Kiddesque body)
-excellent athlete (40 inch vertical, you amateurs) with just slightly above average quickness.
-superb middle range and free throw shooting (yesterday I went 86/100 from charity stripe, 41 in a row) but just above average from 3pt (for a guard). Good driving.
-very good passer. No-look and alley-op passes are my speciality.
-underachiever in rebounding, but good at one-on-one defending and stealing.
-fancy dunking skills (although I don't dunk much when playing for real).
Something about 65-70 overall.
You?

Just because I quit Air Alert doesn't mean you are better then me.
I changed my shot form, only about 2 weeks and I'm already knocking everything down with it. Since changing my form I have lost almost all of my 3 point ability. I also changed my free throw form, I thought it was OK, but when I was playing 21, we shot free throws all day, and I made 10 in a row.

I feel cool.
No handles whatsoever.

i'll be making 5 cap's as i always do but the main one is myself.
PG
6'1'', 170 (kinda like speedy claxton)
-good jumpshot from midrange and three
-about 80% freethrow
-very quick/fast
-not much of a dunker
-high defensive ratings
-very good rebounding for a player my size
-high passing rating
my overall rating will probably be around 80
Sun Sep 05, 2004 7:19 am
My player rating will be 99

The bottom-line is that we all think we're better than we really are. I mean if you think you really deserve to be 99, 80, or even 70, than you should be in the NBA, right? So far, I don't believe that anybody in this thread is being realistic. And don't think that I'm being hypocritical because I willingly admit that I do the same thing. I will make my self somwhere around 85 in Live '05, even though realistically I'm not even anywhere near good enough to get into to the league. And that's not saying that I suck (I'm actually very good). But c'mon, we're talking a league with some of the best players in the world (Oh yeah, I forgot about the Olympics

)

Well duh! mister obvious....Why would your created player be up there in the first place? I mean, its the NBA...even if its a video game, ratings are based on abbilities what you think you can do in your own league or on the streetcourt, I am a very good rebounder, so if I was going to put myself in the game I will give myself a 90+ or something for rebounding. I know if I played in the NBA at this moment with my current age, weight and height, then I wouldnt be a good rebounder over there.

i agree with u seanakaforty, but i still bet i could beat any of you, im one of the cockiest guys u will ever meet, not my greatest quality
Sun Sep 05, 2004 12:00 pm
yeah- well if i made myself... hmm... i wouldnt be good at anything... and prob be crap in most ratings!
so therefore... maybe overall 30! maybe even lower! lol
Sun Sep 05, 2004 12:35 pm
my create a player is
6'7 190-200 pounds
my dunk ability will be high it will be more based off what mmy 2002 abilities were pre back problems/surgery when i'd do off the bounce 360's during 5 on 5 streetball games
fairly crap free throw shooting
average 3 point shooting
high blockage had many block parties in my prime even when playin with broken hand
fairly average reboundin ability for my height
not that good at steals
and so on

lies
Sun Sep 05, 2004 2:50 pm
who lies and wat lies ?
Sun Sep 05, 2004 3:27 pm
6'2''
190 lb
PG/Undersized off guard
I am very fast of my first step. Almost no one I know can stop it.
A great slasher in the lane. Looking to score but can also find the open man.
I am about 70 to 80% from the stripe.
From beyond the arc I am about 25 to 30%.
I can knock down a shoot when you need one.
My midrange game is my bread and butter.
I like to back you down about 15 feet away and fack one way and fade the other and the ball goes clean through the net every time.
No dunks at all (I can grabe the rim but thats it).
I think I am about the low 70's range, but maybe I am biesed.
Yo you cann't leave out the kicks.
I will be rockin' eather the new T-Mac's or Lebron's shoe.

Has anyone actually seen any information on what new things will be included in the CAP? That it will be improved, we all know, but not how they'll improve it...
Sun Sep 05, 2004 8:50 pm
Well, I was

. But that doesn't make be much better than anyone else who posted in this topic

Mon Sep 06, 2004 12:41 am

Mon Sep 06, 2004 1:48 am
both of u guys are fulla shit, gimme some proof, and then we can talk
Mon Sep 06, 2004 2:00 am
Drop by in Europe and see for yourself...enough proof?
Dumb question, Im better anyways.
Mon Sep 06, 2004 2:28 am
I just wanted to say that playing in a 'professional' team doesn't make you good. Here (Europe) everything is professional. In my HS senior year Oplayed for a team in the first A Slovenian league - in a city with aprox. 10k citizens

. And I was a bench guy, too

. IMO every AAU team could kick our ass anytime. So being a former 'professional' doesn't really describe my qualities.
