Talk about NBA Live 2005 here.

Hopefully Live has.....

(Hopefully Live has.....) The freethrow routes by players like J.kidd, Shaq, Kobe, Allen Iverson, ect. This is a minor thing but it adds lots of realism to a game that seems like its going in the realism direction. Not to mention PA announcements like in NBA inside Drive where the Announcer on the PA tell people in the audience about there head lights in the car being left on license plate # bla bla bla (2827u, ect), or a winner for a team dinner goes to ticket # (919838, ect), or call 1-800-NBA-Tix for NBA tickets, you know little things they can add before they wrap the game up for the Oct. release.

P.S Hopefully they have multiple hair style for player like the cover guy Carmelo, and Iverosn, and BEn, you know how that goes. And hopefully they got Allen Iversons T.V complection right along with his appearance.

Little touches like that are nice, but I don't really miss them if they're not in the game. One small detail that I would like to see is the old style of displaying career stats with career totals (as seen at NBA.com, in the NBA Encyclopedia and the backs of trading cards).

all i want is for the game to be able to say rookie names. if not atleast let us edit the player so they have a nickname so the comp can say that. that is definetly not to much to ask.

As far as names go what they need is a feature that is present in the ESPN NFL game called "name recognition". In create-a-player after you type in the name and enter, a window pops up and lets you know if the data base recognizes the name (can say it) or not. This would be a tremendous help to stop the frustration and time wasting of having to actually take the player into a game to find out............

Gordon, I was wondering the same thing myself but was afraid to ask! Hehehehe, haven't been posting here since 2000 so I thought this was some terminology prevalent on this board that I just didn't understand..... :)

i dont really care about the names for created players(i dont create any) its all the rookies. after a few seasons you have a bunch of players on every team and sometimes all you hear is "number 32 with the steal, number 45 scores on a good dish by number 15". it gets damn annoying.

T.V complection is the way a person looks on TV. Allen Iverson is light skinned on TV but in real life, he is a darker tone as seen in Live but i rather see him how he looks on TV. You Know, thats why people say things like TV doesn't tell the whole story, or it adds 10 pounds to a person, etc.

P.S hope things are clearer now!

Well that's a good idea, but it's nothing major though like the other ideas you mentioned. That's something EA wouldn't take the time out to do because some people may just look the same as they do on TV so it's nothing big that they should do. As for the other ideas, I think do need to add those things because I remember when my friend bought the first NBA Inside Drive that came out and I remember hearing those kind of things about the license plate number. I also remember on NFL Gameway they use to do things like that. Like they would say "There is a black Mercedes Benz parked in the wrong area with the license platees IRH374" or something. I would like for them to add that.

another little thing i would like to see them add is records. i know live 2004 has some of the all time records but when you break them they dont get updated. i dont care if they have the real records listed in the game, i can find those anywhere on the net. what i want is ingame records. hell even if they dont start with the real reocrds(rather they did though) and just had it where the first game of your dynasty all your records would be made then as you play on broken. i also dont mean your games only, i mean every game. seeing as they cpu vs cpu games will have boxscores now they can do this. in old nba lives i used to write down my records myself but i got bored of this, and it only would work for games i played in. i like being able to break records either i set or the cpu set.

I agree.....I am a stat freak myself, so I always right down my stats after every game and total them at the end of the season, also for the playoffs :)

Oh yes, yes, yes! Saura, I agree 1,000,000,000% I am an absolute statistic junkie and would love it if they actually updated the All-Time records and saved it in the game. I can remember how disappointed I was to break Kobe's three point record, and to see the original still standing. :x

I definitely agree, a wider range of stats and records would be sweet. (Y)

I hope that tie ups and the resulting jump balls will make it into the series someday, but in the mean time I'd love to see more variations on the opening tipoff, for example having to tip it twice, the ball being tipped to different players, in different directions and different strengths.

Perhaps you could choose to let the CPU control the centre during the jump while you control one of the other players and chase the ball down when it's tapped (sort of like how you can now control the players on the floor when inbounding the ball), though that could get complicated (or just be plain useless).

Anyway, that's getting beyond small things and more of a wish for future Lives, so I'll cut it there.
