New Feature for Live:Restricted Free Agents?

Maybe for future Live games if not in Live 2005, EA could add in restricted FAs. You could keep a lot of your good players by making sure they resign with you if you match the other team's offer or let them go. Just a thought.

ya that'd be coo..and maybe even later down the road, they can have a lil Ea Wrap-Up show towards the end of the season..and have one of the announcers, talk about the Restricted and Unresticted Free Agents..

they can probly do it,cuz they have alot of the TNT Members, they can do it like old times, and have some of the shows with the Tnt logo, showing which program it's on..

Live's going places,i'm tellin you

being able to use a mid level exception would be nice too.

yeah, i would like more flexibility in signing FAs... It's really fun to try to get a big-name free-agent, except when they ask for too much money and then they wind up siging for the minimum...

10-day contracts!!! you should be able to sign players after the trade deadline... Also, you should pick your playoff roster like in real life. and then only those 12 will be able to play.

I agree. Hopefully we'll see them in the game in the future, though elements of the offseason and free agency need to be refined before they are expanded. But I'm all for adding more detail to the GM functions in Dynasty Mode. (Y)

They need to overhaul the Free Agency. It needs to be somewhere between Madden and the real NBA. The format needs to be Madden, but with many of the NBA's actual rules.

definately. that would really complete Live's dynasty-an in depth, realistic GM mode. Also in the GM mode, if u have ever seen NBA.com's website, they have a menu for all the news in the Leauge. Well maybe Live could have a section that shows which players are havin problems on their teams and which teams they are seeking to go to. Live will then show the player and what they are looking for in a team, and what they could bring to the team ( such as young roster, good shooters, tough D, or stability, etc.). You could then have a profile like that for ur team and make offers for that person to come play for u.

The way it seems is that the dynasty mode will be a great focus in the upcoming years. Next year they'll most likely tweak the freestyle air and the all-star weekend and focus on the dynasty...at least I hope so. :D Live 2k5 doesn't have restricted free agents, though, nor does it have the mid-level exception. Remember, the NBA only allowed them to use real money this season...odds are they weren't allowed to use any other facets of the collective bargaining agreement until this year, either.

Speaking of the collective bargaining agreement, isn't it expiring soon? oh god, let's hope for no more lockouts...
