What is the first game mode you will explore?

Postby Ruff Ryder on Sun Jul 18, 2004 9:38 am

What is the first game mode you will explore and exploit? For me it will be the dunk contest, then probably practice...maybe vice-versa. I don't know if there is any other modes than I list, so I will put other.

What about you guys?

Practice, just to check out if any new stuff was added, blah blah. You know, cross overs etc.

Then, I'll see if all rosters are correct, then I'll go create myself in game, then I'll check if there is an expansion draft option. I'll do one with the Bobpussies. Drafting myself & Emeka ofcourse. :P

If not, I'll just add myself to the Bobcats' roster and start a franchise. I'll try and stay away from the Dunk Contest...

In game, when I'm approaching the All-Star game, I'll practice those modes from the main menu, this way I'll really want to keep playing.

I'll mess w/ dunk contest, then I'll play an exhibition game w/ the Lakers to check out the graphics/gameplay/freestyle.

I'm the only one that voted for practice.

Oh well, it will be just to see the new dunks and only for about 5 minutes. :D

It's alright.

As long as you go straight to Dunk Contest right after that.

We'll forgive you  lol

Anyone who said "dunk contest" is a small minded individual who is pleased by infantile things that are absolutely pointless in the scheme of anything. I'll go to Options first.... or... nah, options.

Yeah but, you can't help getting a brand new game and not explore one of the most worked on things in the game?

Yes you can, it's simple. Just select another mode, et voila.

i will look around for awhile, then goto practice, then dunk contest, then a quick 1 min preview of the game, then i MIGHT make myself, then i will do a dynasty with the bobcats or the lakers, (only the lakers cuz i like kobe)

or i might release kobe and put him on the clippers

Dynasty, defenitly. I wanna see what's this new FA logic to manage contracts. Also I want to see any other cool options added to the dynasty mode. I will not start a dynasty...just messing around.

Then creation zone

Then dunk contest.

Then I'll play some exhibition games to test different teams.

Then I'll finally start a dynasty.

Yeah, but your mind will kill you because you'll never know for as long as you live the experience it is to play that never-played game mode.

Heh. :?

Well, i would probably cruise around the menus, looking at options and the rosters... then i would play 1-on-1 or practice to see how the players play... then i would play a game... then the next day i'd get into dynasty and maybe give dunk contest a crack... although i'd rather save dunk contest to be a suprise in my dynasty (or franchise... or whatever it's called this year)

BTW, what's creation zone? :o sounds interesting! (I really should get in touch with my live05 news... i've been a bit inactive lately hey.)

I'll probably look through all the menus, try out the practice mode to get an idea of the new moves, then run through the dunk contest and three point shootout, an exhibition game then I'll explore Dynasty Mode, though not necessarily in that order.

Actually, I'll probably fall victim to that urge as well. I'll probably start work on my current roster update in between trying out all the new features and starting a Dynasty.

You can create a custom team in creation zone, I think arena's too, but that would be guessing.

i will probably do this pretty soon after getting the game open myself. i will sim the first season, while trying to trade for draft picks along the way just to see if they fixed that. then i will play with this new offseason and see how it is. then i will probably start my franchise for real soon after all this.
