The commentators needs to say alot more in this game

Fri Jun 18, 2004 3:24 pm

in nba live 2004 the commentators said 1 or 2 things about a player and it got really boring what they said once you listen to it all the time. on nba live 2005 the commentators the marv and the czar needs to say between 5 to 10 things about a player. they also needs to say the create a player name not say the number. they definely needs to say what is going on in the game from the beginning to the end. the commentators need to have at least 5,000 to 10, 000 words to say.

Wow, you are on a complaining streak... It's all too late now... You should have brought these ideas on the table last winter when they could have made the game.

And the commentators are what they are. They have limited time to do the commentary and they have limited space to store that commentary. And this is a thing that will gradually improve during the years, but it won't suddenly become a focal point of the improvement process.

You really have "weird" wishes... Don't you want something that actually has an effect on the game or the dynasty?

I agree that some of the comments about specific players get a little old after a while, but as Metsis said, it doesn't have too much effect on the game. NBA Live 2004's commentary is still the best of the series in my view, as it seems to be getting better every year.

Actually if u play other sports titles u really start apreciating the commentary because in Madden, NCAA, MVP, and in ESPN basketbal their commentators don't compare to NBA LIVES.

"Tracy Mcgrady has established himself as one of the elite players in the league..."

I hear that commentary at least 2 times per game. Now everytime I hear it I simply laugh

what they need is Bill Walton, he is funny as hell

"THROW IT DOWN, BIG FELLA!"

"THROW IT DOWN, YAO!"

that would be nice to hear in NBA live

I think it would be pretty difficult to make the commentators say new and refreshing things each game. They are all pre-recorded comments. And even if they had 5-10 different comments on a player, they would eventually get old.

I actually don't listen to the commentators or even in-game sounds any more. Usually I will put on music or something else when I play. I've found that this is the best way to beat repetative comments.

Unless they release update packs for the commentary, it's always going to get repetitive. It's always been the case with sports games that have a commentary track. You can record enough commentary to keep it fresh and interesting for a while, but eventually if you play the game long enough you're going to hear many of the phrases over and over again.

lets hope next year they will let us choose our commentator and legends....to be the commentator...and every legend say different thing for every playa

Yeah they need to comment about other stuff than the main game like this:

Marv: 16 Days until All-Star Break what are your thoughts Czar..

*Lakers go down court*

Czar: Well, I believe LeBron is gonna take the Dunk Contest Trophy It's very good I mean I don't doubt him but he has skill

Marv: KOBE! With the nice 3 Point J!

Czar: And The East are going to take this game I can tell you that...

Marv: Thanks Marv...*timeout*...Lets go down to Craig Sager for a Sideline Report

Craig Sager (The Usher  ): Hey Guys, Earlier I talked to Kobe he said his shoulder is feeling a little better and that he is Improving that shoulder rapidly throughout the course of the game, back to you marv.

: That would slam the foundations of ESPN to pieces! !
