Blood on jersey, IMHO, is really unnecessary. How often do you actually see blood on a player's jersey in the real NBA?

Expected

Better Graphics
Improved AI + less aggressive/more realistic comeback code
Improved Dynasty Mode
Some expansion on Create-a-Player

Unexpected

Dunk Contest - Rumoured every year, but I'd be (pleasantly) surprised if we see it in NBA Live 2005
Create-a-Play
Real Salaries (For legal reasons, it can't happen)

Undecided

3 Point Contest - I'm really not sure. It's more likely than the dunk contest. I'm not holding my breath, but I'm not losing hope either.

well, forget about blood. EA's too lazy to make players sweat. there's no chance for blood. sweat will make it more realistic because u'll get the idea when that player's tired. and also untucked jersey at about 3 minutes left in 4th quarter that will make the game more realistic. btw, make a play is a really good idea. just like what madden did

Hey Andrew, if that "Select your own dunk" makes it through to the game, a dunk contest might be implemented.

As for the real salaries, remember a couple years back, for NBA Live 2001 some dude made a "real salaries" patch? I used it and it was pretty cool, especially because two players that would normally have 300000 points would have their real-life salaries differ by a couple million dollars...

I agree that stuff like Dunk Contest/All-star weekend/3pt shootout are rumored (we Americans spell it with no u) every year and it would be a pleasant surprise if they put it in.

I think if there going to implement it into the game any year, it would be this year because of this freestyle air and the "Select your dunk" method. It may be rumored every year but this year I think it has the best chance in my opinion. :P

I'd actually hate seeing a dunk contest... It would mean they would be working on something that is really irrelevant to the actual game. I'd enjoy it with friends, but it really doesn't add anything to the single player experience.

I have to agree with the fact that if there ever was a dunk contest implemented, now they would have the tools of doing so. But just how many dunks can you do with the analog stick... And could you do the same dunks in the game as well??? This is where it all starts go south... If you see a guy bouncing the ball off the floor and catching it in mid air and putting it through his legs for a reverse jam in a game situation... Well, how realistic is that...

I'd rather see something like player happiness in dynasty mode or even the three way trading. But player happiness and some explanation over the reasons for happiness/unhappiness would be so much to be desired. It would make the game a whole lot more alive in a heart beat. And the dynasty mode is in desperate need of improvement. I've said this so many times before that I'm getting tired of repeating myself.

Why dynasty needs improvement... I haven't played a game of NBA Live 04 with other then dynasty mode since the one game I tested to see what it was like this year. Then automatically dynasty mode and I've never looked back. And the dynasty is pretty much the same as it's been since implementation of the multi season mode...

Possibly, but I won't believe it until I see that a dunk contest is actually in the game. Freestyle Air and "Select your own dunk" do have the potential to be used in a dunk contest, but I'm still skeptical.

yeah but realistic salaries would do. I'm sick of the 30000pts salaries. I'd like to see things like the mid-level exceptions, veterans minimum and a scalable yearly salary with 12.5% increase (or whatever the % is).
I'm pretty sure this can be implemented legally, and the actual salary figures could still be relative but in a more realistic manner.

Hey I'd like to see free agents signed after trade deadline (they didn't let you do that in 2001) and also 10-day contracts for when you have some injured players.

I used to expect a lot for Live but not anymore. I dont expect anything from Live 2005 because they have always let me down. I never expect anything from Madden and they always surpass all my possible expectations. They can see way beyond their noses. Way to go Tiburon team!

Thank you.
