What about technical and illegal fouls ?

In NBA Live 2004 and previous Live, you could get technical foul, when you don't have time-outs and you take a time-out. Last time illegal foul was in NBA Live 2001 i think.
Maybe In 2005, EA could make illegal foul, and then you push the button, player would run and make a very hard foul.
And something like about technical fouls.. :)

What do you think ?

i remeber in a couple of lives you could push a person half way across the court with the circle button if i remeber correctly

The NBA won't allow EA to add unsportsmanlike technicals to the game, so we won't see any behaviour that leads to tech fouls in NBA Live 2005. The only time we'll see a tech assessed in NBA Live is for calling a timeout when you have no timeouts left, or you are called for a defensive three second violation.

There was a handcheck button in previous Lives (I believe Live 2002 was the last to have it) that allowed to push the opposing player to intentionally foul them. Is that the feature you're referring to?

OK, I wasn't sure if you were referring to the illegal defense rule (which of course has been replaced by the defensive three second violation).

I liked the handcheck button too. Even though calling for an intentional foul by pressing the Playcalling button is effective in most cases, the handcheck button was more effective for commiting hard fouls when players are shooting, and in some cases a little quicker when fouling to stop the clock.
