A heavily edited version of "All I Know" was also part of the NBA Live 2000 soundtrack.

The music for 2004 & 2003 is crap if you ask me. 2000 was much better since they got the "Hip hop horraaaaaaay".
They should put 2gether classic bball music such as "He got game", "Hip hop horay" etc

They should get some underground rappers instead of the big name guys all the time, and if they do have big name guys, have NAS do something.

The NBA Ballers Soundtrack is pretty Underground if you ask me...
The Music in NBA Live 2002 was a pain in the ass...because one of the Instrumentals were on Triple Play 2002 but it had Rappin' in it...They didn't tell you the song...
I found out that the song was "Deep End" by Swollen Members it sounded all creepy like
Then the other song which was had some type of African Yell in it...it's "Venom Lady" by Deep End..but they are all Instrumentals.
EA Sports has ALOT of songs they won't tell you about
In Madden 2003, Madden 2004, NBA Live 2003, NBA Live 2004 there is a song that plays In-Game over the speakers...It's "Hood On Smash" by G-Unit
It's Instrumental but the words go "Stop, BOOM!, Warn you not to cross my back"
THe song begins with an Alarm sounding noise...
--------------
Yes I have ALOT of free time to find all this shit out

Swollen Members grew up in my general area and are popular here. Assuming you messed up and said that song is by Deep End instead of Swollen Members, the song is Lady of Venom, not Venom Lady. And the video is messed up.

Yes Swollen Members made "Lady of Venom" Lol

Go Outkast!
Hopefully EA puts Outkast, B.E.P. and Chingy into 05!

black-eyed Peas make me want to carve my ears out with a spoon. They suck. They almost suck as much as Chingy, who is almost as bad as Sean Paul.

I think it all depends on the preference of the game's target audience. Most of the NBA's audience is black (hence, the heavy rap influence on the game's soundtrack). I am Asian and I enjoy some of the rap songs (Outkast, Chingy, Twista, Sean Paul, and the Peas were good this year). But some of the lesser-known artists are good (like Dilated Peoples). I think it has a good balance. I think some people like Homer prefer Madden's music because there is less rap, with people like Blink 182 and Good Charlotte. As for me, I liked the "Hip Hop Hooray" and "All I Know" from 2000, but the Montell Jordan song at the beginning from Live 2001 was pretty good too.

I think the one for 2000 also.
I just recently (a month ago) found out who Rahzel was, then I remembered that song from NBA Live 2000.
I have some short video of him beat-boxing in Portland or somewhere like that. He got great skills...
Had no idea he was white though (or is he?
)
As qballer also said, the Montell Jordan into song was realy nice aswell.
It seems like there's more songs now, still they seem to get more and more repedetive.
I guess I just play Live more now than I used to... Still, it seemd like the old soundtracks vere nicer in a way.
