Hi, this is from Spain, maybe I fail with the english, so apologies in this case. I downloaded yesterday andrew's last patch and I have some pink faces... I've searched some sgsm files that you posted with CFaces, but links don't work. So please... what can I do? It's impossible to play like that. thanks

Hi, and welcome to the forum. Which faces do you need? Maybe I'll be able to help.

I'm definitely interested to know which ones as well, if I've left them out of the installation routine I'll definitely fix that up for the next release.

Nah, it was a mistake at the instalation, sorry... And Thanks.

Edit: Lou Williams has a pink head, ¿? the only one I've seen until this moment. ... Another problem, I wanted to change Battier's and T-Mac adidas shoes and I couldn't, the game suffered a total collapse. thanks

I'll doublecheck to make sure Williams' face is in the next installation.

I don't get the shoes problem myself but for anyone who does, copying the original shoesacc.dbf file to the roster save seems to resolve the problem from what I've heard.

Thanks Andrew. One more little thing (anyway, I think that's better than creating stupid threads for this little things), about Rockets court: This is the one I have:

And this is the actual court that I would want to have: Image

I've searched about courts and arenas and I don't find the new ones.

This court you can find in court threads for Live 08, so browse these threads:

I think is the only court with some bug, precisaly the court of my team...

I tried to download other pacthes, but all files are nowadays deleted. I don't know if some of you could only upload this files with court updated...:

hous_lightmap.fsh
houscrt.fsh
houscrt.ebo
houscrt_vram.fsh

Or tell how can I fix the problem. Thanks.

Unfortunately you can't fix it. You have to remember, this court wasn't made for Live 2005, but for live 08 (no one is making courts for Live 2005), so sometimes these bugs are ocurring, when we try these courts in our Live 2005. It's just the fact, that some files made for a specific version, doesn't work in 100% on other versions. And there's nothing we can do about it. So you can use this court with these pink parts on it, or just back to the default one. I chose the very first one.

I've read that the file "lightmap" should not be overwrited. (late...) Maybe here's the problem, and taking the original file could be solved??? Where can I find it?

Unfortunately, you won't fix it with any file. The only way to fix the pink parts is to edit these .crt files (I think it's the floor problem, but I'm not sure, I've never did any court patches). "Lightmap" is just the lighting file, and has nothing to do with these pink parts. The problem with the "lightmap" is, because sometimes may crash your game (if the "lightmap" file was not made for your version of NBA Live).

You can try with default "lightmap" file, but it won't fix the problem, I can guarantee you that. Do it and see for yourself.

first off THANK YOU for this patch. Its very awesome and I really enjoy it.

Andrew wrote:I'm still able to edit shoes without any problems, for me the roster works just fine. Have you tried copying the original shoesacc.dbf file to the roster save folder?

and thanks for this tip. My game would crash also if trying to edit shoes and now it doesnt crash.............but now all shoes are locked and no matter if i put codes in or not ( even with the rosters loaded) they dont unlock .... any suggestion Andrew ?

also i read that you can change the players dbf files and put them on the team you want ( ex. i would like to add some players from the all star teams into the legends pool ) how do i go about doing this ?

thanks a bunch guys

You can unlock the shoes again by opening that fresh shoesacc.dbf file with DB Commander and making sure all shoes have "False" for their ISLOCKED attribute.

This tutorial should hopefully help you with your second question. :)

Thanks alot man! the tip about the shoes worked to perfection.

the tutorial about changing the players teams will take a while considering the help option on DB Commander doesnt work on Vista :?

but ill enjoy this Mod anyway.

thanks again

You might be able to put it to use with MS Excel or the spreadsheet program in OpenOffice. DBF Viewer Pro is another alternative but I don't know whether that's Vista friendly or not.

Hello again... It's December in my season and I want to put T-Mac back on the lineup. He has been on the IL all season, now I can't pick him (nor Yao). I suppose I loaded the 2008/09 Rosters (NLSC0809) -not the Uninjured ones- and that's the reason. At the moment I thought I could change it in the future if I want it... How can I fix that? I want T-Mac back!

Thanks.

Ok, I went to the file "players.dbf" located on my season's folder. I exchanged the ROSTERPOS with Brian Cook and McGrady (11 for 14). I ran the game and McGrady wasn't already on the IL (effectively in position # 11, with Cook on the IL). But again, I couldn't handle manually McGrady's cell. He can't be moved of that position (can't be placed as starter f.e.). Anyway, I started a game thinking I would do it on "sustitutions", but... McGrady doesn't appear on the roster (¡!).Only 11 players appear, and the last spot nº12, is empty.

Maybe the problem can be that there are FOUR McGrady cells on the players.dbf file, and he has a different ROSTERPOS in each one? (I changed the one in which appeared ROSTERPOS 14)

Sorry for that english...

Ah, I can see where I'll need to update the tutorial. That's something else I'll have to do once I finish the next version of the roster updates.

Make sure you edit the ROSTERPOS values for all entries for Tracy McGrady that have a TEAM value of 9 (Houston Rockets).

I am. As soon as I finish the 08 update, I can start working backwards and convert it for use with 07, 06 and 2005. At the moment I'm hoping to get them all out at once and keep releasing them simultaneously as I did towards the end of last season.

And before anyone asks, I can't give a release date at this time. Work is progressing quite nicely though so hopefully I'll have good news for everyone in the near future. :)
