RSox has helped me so much. I swear to god they would probably never be released without his help. He imported these logos into the correct files which would of taken me days, and he did it within one hour. Thanks alot man.

Everything will be released after I get these things done:

- Make the All Star screens silver
- Find a certain screen I am missing and make it silver
- Invert the players names to black so you can read them against the silver
- Make new menus

Heres a few screens to show you guys how my game looks at the moment:

Once again RSox, thanks man, your fucking amazing.

Mon Jan 29, 2007 4:17 am

Wow, that's friggin ridiculous. Thank you Flite and RSox.

RSox, good luck in your "retirement." I hope you'll stick around the boards or help the other patchers when they need your expertise.

Mon Jan 29, 2007 5:29 am

Yeah, RSox is amazing dude, he helped me a lot, as well as Flite :) Thank you very much guys (Y)
And your game looks freakin nice, I want to play Live 05 :?

Mon Jan 29, 2007 6:13 am

I'll probably stick around one more week.

- Invert the players names to black so you can read them against the silver

I don't see what is wrong. I can read Carmelo Anthony fine.

Mon Jan 29, 2007 6:36 am

Yeah, I see the Carmelo Anthony fine too. But if you think it will look better in black, be my guest. It's your creation.

I really like the NBA logo behind the free agents portraits. That's a great idea. Good thinking there.

Mon Jan 29, 2007 7:09 am

The "Carmelo Anthony" text is how it looks after I have inverted it to black. The rest of them (not pictured) do not look very good because they are white on silver and don't look bold enough.

Mon Jan 29, 2007 9:57 am

Ah, ok, thanks for that explanation.

Heres the previews for the bootup screens I just finished, featuring the back-to-back MVP Steve Nash:

Still got this to do:

- Make the All Star screens silver
- Find a certain screen I am missing and make it silver
- Invert the players names to black so you can read them against the silver
- Make new menus (maybe)

Mon Jan 29, 2007 12:02 pm

HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's hot. Oh my god. That's freakin awesome. I love that loading screen! I like how it's in order alphabetically.

Any plans to change loading screens for players who aren't on a team? (ex: Baron Davis on the Hornets).

Flite, you deserve a friggin medal for your work.

Mon Jan 29, 2007 12:06 pm

Thanks man. I'm really not sure about the players. I don't know exactly how bad it will be but if you guys are willing to wait a little longer I may be able to do it. I'll have a look at it and get back to you.

EDIT: I tried changing up the player pictures using a new Baron Davis Golden State picture and it worked fine. I guess it's pretty straight forward, so I may be able to do it, however it will be very low priority.

So if I do it, I'll need to change (off the top of my head):

- Baron Davis (Golden State)
- Ben Wallace (Chicago)
- Steve Francis (New York)
- Steve Nash (Phoenix)
- Gary Payton (Miami)
- Tracy McGrady (Houston)
- Vince Carter (New Jersey)
- Peja Stojakovic (New Orleans)

Now that I look at it, that's quite alot of things to edit. I will probably leave it for now.

amazing!

Mon Jan 29, 2007 12:32 pm

It's not a big deal Flite, but as long as you're working on the background work, it might be worth looking into.

Mon Jan 29, 2007 3:39 pm

Great bootup screens man (Y) wow.

Mon Jan 29, 2007 10:26 pm

Alright Flite, no big deal.

You said you tried to replace Baron with a Baron in Warriors gear. If you tried to replace Baron with say Gilbert Arenas, would the game give you a hard time?

I'm not asking you to do that. It seemed you can only replace the picture with the same player, right?

Tue Jan 30, 2007 12:43 am

I am 99% sure I won't do it. It really doesn't bother me at all, I barely stay in the main menu long enough to see any player other than Carmelo.

Out of the 23 players featured, These are the players that need changes made:

- Baron Davis (Golden State)
- Steve Francis (New York)
- Allen Iverson (Denver)
- Steve Nash (Phoenix)
- Peja Stojakovic (New Orleans)
- Gary Payton (Miami)
- Shaquille O'Neal (Miami)
- Tracy McGrady (Houston)
- Vince Carter (New Jersey)
- Ben Wallace (Chicago)

For me to replace those pictures with their current team ones, I would need to find 5 at least 512x512 pictures of each and cut the player out (or find pre cuts, I have looked, and they would account for about 2 for each player on average). That's 50 512x512 pictures I have to cut players out of. If I was to replace some of these players with newer stars, it doesn't make a difference, I would still have to cut out 50 photos and I'm just not prepared to do that.

Tue Jan 30, 2007 1:22 am

Yeah, absolutely Flite. I don't blame you.

You're better focusing on stuff that matters in terms of gameplay and game presentation (logos in the game, etc).

Tue Jan 30, 2007 3:55 am

Wow , thats really cool stuff !!!

Ahh , go to http://www.psdcentral.net/ for the cutted players.

Hey , wich file i have to edit to change the players in the menu ??

Tue Jan 30, 2007 5:29 am

Open up biggui and go into the NBA Live 2005/fe folder and open bckgrnds.viv, all the player images and names will be in there.

Tue Jan 30, 2007 5:59 am

I can change the players screens if you want me to.
I might also try to replace some of the older players with younger ones.

Tue Jan 30, 2007 7:22 am

If anyone chooses to do the screens, here's my suggestions.

- Baron Davis (Golden State) - replace with Gilbert Arenas
- Steve Francis (New York) - replace with Dirk Nowitzki
- Allen Iverson (Denver) - Change AI to Denver
- Steve Nash (Phoenix) - Change Nash to Phoenix
- Peja Stojakovic (New Orleans) - Change to Chris Bosh
- Gary Payton (Miami) - Change Payton to Chris Paul
- Shaquille O'Neal (Miami) - Change Shaq to Miami
- Tracy McGrady (Houston) - Change T-Mac to Houston
- Vince Carter (New Jersey) - Change VC to Nets
- Ben Wallace (Chicago) - Change to Joe Johnson
- Kobe Bryant (Lakers) - Change to #24

Other possibilities:
-Emeka Okafor (Bobcats)
-Tim Duncan (Spurs)
-Dwight Howard (Magic)
-Elton Brand (Clippers)
-Michael Redd (Bucks)
-AK47 (Jazz)

Just throwing out possibilities. Another though would be to try to have diversity. For instance, if we have Nash, it might be redundant to do Amare or Marion since the Suns are already represented by Nash.

Tue Jan 30, 2007 7:30 am

A person I was thinking about adding was Dwayne Wade.

Tue Jan 30, 2007 7:34 am

Oh gosh, you're right. I was thinking Wade and I thought I added him in. Shame on me! Maybe Wade should replace Shaq as the Heat representative. Shaq is getting old anyways.

Tue Jan 30, 2007 9:19 am

Heres what I think.

The 23 players featured are:

Ray Allen
Baron Davis
Mike Bibby
Carmelo Anthony
Dirk Nowitzki
Tim Duncan
Steve Francis
Allen Iverson
Jason Kidd
Jermaine O'Neal
Kevin Garnett
Kobe Bryant
LeBron James
Stephon Marbury
Steve Nash
Peja Stojakovic
Gary Payton
Paul Pierce
Shaquille O'Neal
Tracy McGrady
Vince Carter
Yao Ming
Ben Wallace

I would say drop:

Peja Stojakovic
Gary Payton
Shaquille O'Neal
Ben Wallace
Steve Francis

And replace them with any 5 of these:

Amare Stoudemire
Elton Brand
Joe Johnson
Shawn Marion
Gilbert Arenas
Dwyane Wade
Caron Butler
Chris Paul
Zach Randolph
Carlos Boozer
Dwight Howard
Chris Bosh
Antawn Jamison
Michael Redd
Chauncey Billups
Ben Gordon

And change:

Baron Davis (GSW)
Allen Iverson (DEN)
Steve Nash (PHX)
Vince Carter (NJ)
Tracy McGrady (HOU)
Kobe Bryant (Number)
Jermaine O'Neal (New Jerseys)

It looks like a big job to me.

Tue Jan 30, 2007 9:32 am

My 5:

1. Wade
2. Arenas
3. Paul
4. Bosh
5. Brand (or Howard)

Tue Jan 30, 2007 11:23 am

that is effing tight! keep up the good work!
