I think someone found out that all the saves in 1.14 crashed in dynasty mode. The solution is to go to your folder (probably in My Documents)

NBA Live 2005 \ database \ originaldb

From there copy `birthstate.dbf' into the folder

NBA Live 2005 \ saves \ NLSC0506

and/or other 1.14 saves you want to fix. Hope this helps.

I have use de birthstate.dbf of 1.13 patch because all 1.14 Database crash it me. All 1.14 databases has the same problem.

I installed 1.13 to a Temp folder and just copied a birthstate.dbf to all the files in the 1.14. Works fine now. Thanks!

This isn't exactly the answer to the problems, but a temporary solution until v1.15 appears. I don't know 100% if it works, but it did for me.
1. Rename the NBA Live 2005 folder (the My Documents one) into something else (like NBA Live 2005 back-up)
2. Back-up the players.dbf, teams.dbf, appearence.dbf and teamgear.dbf from the original NBA Live 2005 folder (NBA LIVE 2005\database\Origdb)
3. Copy the players.dbf, teams.dbf, appearence.dbf and teamgear.dbf from NLSC0506 to NBA LIVE 2005\database\Origdb
4. Start the game
Now, in the game, you can save your Rosters like NLSC0506. Also you can copy the configs and the settings folders from the NBA Live 2005 back-up to NBA Live 2005 folder (the one in My Documents) and copy your dinasty/season folders if you want.

I know this is slightly off topic, but I think Kristic's performance against the heat shows he is a better player than reflected in Live.
Stamina probably about 65-70
Better inside and fg
better off and def rebound
dribble slightly up
and other changes
all together probably an overall low to mid 60's

shouldn't martell websters 3 pt be about 74-76(scouting reports said he was one of the best shooters in the draft)
Also, I think Gerald Green's primary postition is SF then SG

90 for green's dunk is about right but maybe a little low. The Mcdonald's game dunks were unbelievable.(p.s. If anyone has a copy of the game could you please email me a copy at Josh07039@comcast.net)

there is a folder in your NBA LIVE 2005 folder, same folder where the save game folder is, called database. In there find original. In the original fold, you should be ableo to find the original birthsate.dbf. Just copy and paste that one.

suggestion: because of the advent of the small ball lineup last season.i think almost all of the players 6'10(also some 6'9) above in height have really who are natural pf's have become pf/c.
big men who are outside shooters like van horn and eddie griffin have played majority(or i think almost all) as pf/c but not radmanovic who plays pf/sf. also a reason is that majority of them will be too slow for smaller sf's. the small lineup also made majority of the 6'5 above players who are just plain sg's became sg/sf. and this is also the case with sf's who at times played as pf in a 4 guard lineup as the twolves and spurs used sometimes depending on the situation.
so i suggest u recheck on player positions(both primary and secondary. thanks.

to help you, this are the following players i think should be edited:

dallas: keith van horn should be a pf/c. although he did not really play center technically. he played mostly with nowitzki at center in the frontcourt.i have never seen him play as a sf since he was traded to dallas.

houston: ryan bowen played should be sf/pf. al though some may argue that the reason he played at pf is juwan howards injury. i think he is big enough to play pf in a small lineup.

indiana: autin croshere should be a pf/c. same case as van horn.

l.a. clippers: elton brand should be a pf/c. i think he has enough size to play as center.

new york: mo taylor should be pf/c. i dont think they have much of a choice at center.
mike sweetney should be pf/c. same case as brand.
jerome williams should be a pf/sf. small ball made him a primary pf/sf instead pf primary sf/pf.

seattle: nick collison should be a pf/c. no question he played center last season.

Edit ratings:

cavs: anderson varejao has off. reb rating of 50. i think he should be at least the third best off.rebounder on the team behind ilgauskas and traylor. he should at least be better than gooden(64). i thought he was one of the leaders in rebounds per 48 mins last season before he got hurt.

raptors: charlie villanueva is rated at 66 overall? that's the same as deron williams(utah) at 3rd overall. i thought many people expected him to be picked around 20-25th in the draft. i personally don't know him but i think the 3rd and 7th pick should have a separation in ratings.

spurs: tony parker 3pt rating should be a bit lower(bring it back to default at 61). he's really a very erratic shooter specially from beyond the arc.
robert horry 3pt rating should be back to default at 63. he is definitely better 3pt shooter than parker.
tim duncan is my favorite player. i agree with increasing his overall. i also agree that some of the ballfakes(especially the one with him holding the ball standing then pressing right analog stick to the right) in his current(1.14) ratings but i don't think he can do behind the back dribbles with ease. i think this should be corrected although im not sure if you can make him do these ballfakes without making him a very good behind the back dribbler.

Yes, I try with all the files, starting by the last group of files. i copy the files attending the first letter (example:wristacc.dbf). If it works, I copy tmcareer.dbf, after that teams.dbf, and one by one, when I copy birthstate.dbf I saw that the game crash.

Yep, already been reported. That will be fixed, as well as any other transactions that have been made since v1.14.

Yep, that's what we've been talking about for more than 50 posts now. As I said in the post above yours, I think shiva and co have indeed located the problem (read a few posts before that for a temporary fix) so I'll be sure to remedy the situation in version 1.15.

By the way, for anyone who wants to get the birthstate.dbf file from v1.13, it's still available to download here:

Please note that's an old version, please don't post any ratings suggestions based on that update. Install it to a temporary folder (eg C:\TempRoster) so you can just copy the birthstate.dbf file across.
