Wow, that's awesome! But i think you guys are getting a bit overboard here.. especially the first few.. ;) what if it completely sucks and isn't implented properly? or what if it is the only good thing about live05? I'm definetly thinking "I hope they didn't spend all their time on this".
But it's still exciting.

Yeah! (Y)! That's awesome. It'll be particulary handy for after a few years of playing our dynasty's and the game is introducing new talent every year. You can see who the next upcoming youngon's are! :D

From what I've seen so far in screens and videos, I like what I'm seeing, especially that Dunk Contest!!
One concern I have, however, is that the tip backs may be used too often. In the videos I've seen, the tip backs happen a bit too far away from the basket and goes in too often. I hope this can be adjusted using sliders.

I just watched the vids. It looks really good. I hope they didn't spend their whole time on this, but judging by some of the things I've read, I don't think they did. They made improvements to game play, the all-star weekend is so they can sell the games.

got damn... I'm gone for a couple days, and this comes up... :D
I LOVE YOU EA!!! ESPN what??? Sega, time to go back to the drawing board... or attempt to copy Live... :scold:
Finally, something else to do when you get sick of playing regular games & 1 on 1! I guess this will end the annual rumor of 3pt contest, dunk contest, and all-star weekend...
Ah and the dollar salary cap... nice... :applaud:
hey, now all I really want is more detailed offseason & dynasty and the ability to vote for all-star starters!

I don't think the tip ins will go in too often, they just show whenever a tip in went in (you don't want to see a bunch of guys missing tipins in the preview video do you?)

Besides, I bet they'll be a slider for it.

They will have this in DYNASTY MODE just read both articles at IGN. Also I just read not only is there the whole ALL Star Weekend but there is also another Dunk mode called Free Style Dunk mode where you have to create a dunk and then add to it each round.

Great news, I can't wait till this drops

Side note: Anyone know if we are goin' to be able to edit the players hairstyle? For some reason it'll be cool for Ben Wallace's hair braided back when he's visitin' the opponents home court and when he's in the palace it's up in the air Ben style..i know it's a little thing but i wish they would of did it in 2004

Humm, they might not let you edit it, but having different hairstyles in the player's file would be nice. Didn't Rodman have different do's with different faces?

Anyways, it's a nice thing that adds a touch of realism, but I don't think they added it this year.

damn, alcoholic, you had to go back far for that one...
but no more GP bashing! next year with Rudy T, no more triangle... he will dominate, as long as he wrenches the ball from Kobe's hands or when Kobe sits down.

Yeah, but that thing stained my mind for years to come..

It's looking better for GP, with the departure of Fisher, he should for sure get his minutes.

Can't watch the game here in the library...
To bad. But from what I've read so far it a little to exaduraded.
360's, between-the-legs, windmils it's all good. But 720, 2 times between the legs and such are not in my oppinion...

I read the article on Gamespot also. Sounds a lot better after reading that they didn't complete a single lob-pass :)
Hopefully it will take a lot of practice to be able to make the high-end dunks.
