Talk about NBA Live 2005 here.

Added the 0s in the injury ID fields. Still the crash.

The error says some recovery date error.

Trying to figure out how to change the INJURYDATE and RECOVRDATE field data types to "Number". That's Mr. Floppy's proposed solution.

EDIT: Fiddled with it on OpenOffice. Would like a tester. Link here

INJURYDATE,N,8,0 RECOVRDATE,N,8,0

that's what the first line of those columns looks like, when i open it in openoffice.
this should mean:
INJURYDATE
number
8 digits long (example:01092008)
0, if there's no date in it

dunno if changing it to that is enough to have the 0 being added automaticly. i added them manually and it works

Jon Guesst what I'm asking now. Could you please upload your save-folder with the roster? I hardly have any glue how DB Commander works and couldn't get it to work.

Jon It works now as I said in a pm...but what's the date of the file you posted above?

Your topic says 1-1-08 but this can't be true. New York has J. Jordan but not Chandler...D. Nichols still players for NY etc. etc.

I had a look at the player transaction in January. Cedric Simmons was assigned to the D league by Cleveland and recalled some days later. In your roster file C. Simmons plays for New Orleans.

I would like to update all rosters till the trade deadline myself and so I need a good starting point...the actual date your roster was 100% accurate.

Eh, it was as accurate as I could get it. I messed up a bit with the Dickau trade to Clippers and forgot to change Nichols to Bulls, etc. etc.

So yeah, you can modify it personally if you want.

Eeeh, Webber plays in Denver, Cliff Robinson, Jalen Rose and Dale Davis also on some NBA team.

Why is that? Webber has never played in Denver, has he.

Oh shit, I think that's actually a remnant of a dynasty created while I was testing out a sim engine.

I'm just fixing all the teams.
I also edited Nate Robinson's ratings with DB commander. Loaded the game...his ratings didn't go up (overall ratings)...I clicked on edit...saved without doing anything...and his overall dropped. Why is that? Were his overall ratings raised with a DB tool without calculation? e.g. a player should have 70 but his overall ratings are raised to 72 for a better roster position or something.

The problem with editing ratings off a converted roster is that the overall ratings in 07 are generally higher (for a lower player), so that 07 rating of 65 or so will result in an 05 rating of about 50, and an 07 rating of 95 may be an 05 rating of 99.

That's the main problem with ratings and why I don't want to fiddle with them.

Sorry Jon but it seems that it was my fault, not yours. I loaded a fresh players.dbf of your folder and Webber etc. are ok!

I think I edited the roster...then started a season...simulated one year. Quit...and although I didn't save it autosaved to the players.dbf. Really strange.

Finished fixing the teams. Damn, this was a lot of work.
All teams have their current players.

Didn't care about jersey numbers. Left them as they were.
Didn't care about roster position, rotations etc.
Injured players are not injured. E.g. Miami plays with O' Neal and Mourning.
Players that are currently assigned to the D league are free agents. When they get recalled I again sign them to their teams.

I'll update the roster till the trade deadline.

Yeah, those rosters are annoying. The thing is that it auto-adjusts the rosters whenever you release or sign a player, meaning all the line-ups are screwed up and such.

Is it possible that one of you guys mixed up Marvin Williams with Marcus Williams? (the swingman, not the pg)

That may be the case. Go find their player packages with a dbf editor, change one to whatever you like and make sure you rename all that player's files to the name you picked. Remember, it's a XXyyyyy format.

EDIT: Can somebody activate lighting for me? My PC which has Live 05 just had its card replaced.

Yeah, I don't really have much knowledge of how to change those things.

I just signaled it so that Leander maybe can change it when he updates the roster around the trade dead line.

Since these courts were made for 07 and 08, a few small things are out of place. I think you should go to Lagoa's court thread in 08 announcements and download the pack which includes his Houston, it might work better.

After copying files from Lagoa's court to SSM Folder in NBA 2005 the game crashes.
Can someone give me SGSM folder with all actual updates (courts, jerseys)?

greg0, just use only the files, who have .crt in them. Any other files ( like .vram for example) may game crash.

Pink areas it is still in houston court.
I don't see difference after copying Lagoa's courts files...
Why don't have dornas (banners) in all courts?
