You're welcome. :)

Let me know if you'd like me to mirror the file on the NLSC and if you're cool with it being added to the Downloads section. (Y)

It's your patch :P

Go for it, I can't imagine how many Live 2005 players are missing out on it because they don't frequent the forums. (Y)

Thanks, I'll add it in tomorrow's update. :) For the moment, here's the mirror link:

Added to the database here.

Okay, I'm a bit thick here so bear with me.

I followed the instructions on the main post but used Andrew's new file that he posted on the main page.

1) Place the "NLSC 06-07" roster folder into your saves folder

There is no NLSC 06-07 in that file, but I assume you mean the NLSC V 1.05.

2) Download lookvod's Real Shoe Patch V 5.0 from here (this prevents pink shoes)
3) Install the patch by running the Setup.exe. Once it has completed, there will be a folder in your EA Sports folder called "NBA Live 07". Open it and then open "SGSM"
4) Copy all files in here and paste them into your NBA Live 2005 SGSM

I don't see any Setup.exe anywhere. Do you mean in the Real Shoe Patch? There is an exe, so I'll assume you mean that one. But that exe is trying to patch NBA Live 2007. I don't have 2007. Plus, it appears that later you say to delete these files? As I said, I'm thick, so bear with me. I'll run the file anyway and let it create the folder in 2007 and copy the files into my 2005 sgsm. I also made a backup just in case I wasn't supposed to do that....

5) Go back into the folder where the setup files are for lookvods Real Shoe Patch

6) Go into the folder named "Accurate"

7) Go into the folder named "Accurate07 Patch for All", then copy and paste al files inside the folder to the "NLSC 06-07" roster folder

8) Run "Accurate07.bat"

9) Do the same again, this time using the files from the "Accurate07 patch for EA missing player based on NLSC"

Okay, this I can do. I went ahead and did it. Appears to have worked, I guess.

10) The install is complete

Okay, should work, right? At first all of the new cyberfaces are pink, so I went back, downloaded the new 07 roster patch, installed it to my non-existent 2007, and then copied the sgsm files into my 2005 folder. Maybe that will work.

Looks like it did, only that some of the new cyberfaces are still pink and all of the shoes are pink. What did I do wrong? I see several of the new cyberfaces worked, but not all.

My favorite team is the Blazers, so of the roster, these are the ones who's cyberfaces don't work:

LaMarcus Aldridge
Brandon Roy
Luke Schenscher
Martell Webster

What did I do wrong? Help out a dim-wit. :)

Okay, I've gotten several of the cyberfaces to work by manually downloading them (either in 2005, 2006, or 2007) and putting them in my sgsm folder. Maybe it would be cool if someone zipped them all together for this patch.

Still missing Webster, Schenscher, and Aldridge cyberfaces, plus a number of other ones on other teams.

just a couple of questions:

some salaries are outdated, if I changed them will the game crash?

and if I edit, using db commander, the shoes for some players (like dallas or new jersey that use white shoes only) will the game crash?

thanks again...

If you're using DB Commander and change the salaries correctly (ie don't enter incorrect values in those fields), there shouldn't be any crashes. Always make a backup in case anything goes wrong though.

jamon51, don't do anything involving the shoe patch. If you have installed it, delete it using the way I provided. I will get you some CF's of those guys when I can.

thank you Andrew.

I guess is the same regarding the shoes....or do I have to modify something else to change the shoes?

Sun Apr 08, 2007 4:47 am

Hi everyone!

This might be a very dumb question, but i'll still try: i play live 05 on PS2, is there a text file with the roster updates + the player rating updates, so that i can then enter the changes manually?

thanks!

Sun Apr 08, 2007 10:28 am

@arthur
The answer is yes, you can see them all in the dbfs in the save folder of the roster updates.. Though it's not that easy to change it one by one in the PS2

Sun Apr 08, 2007 9:20 pm

Ok, thanks a lot!
i'll try it, i reckon it'll be worth it...

Mon Apr 09, 2007 12:05 pm

Is there a patch / link to where I can fix the pink heads of the 2005 and 2006 drafted players?

cheers

Mon Apr 09, 2007 3:43 pm

Also, I got the free throw rituals fixed. Alot of players had the T-Mac style free throw, standing about 2 feet behind the line. This was because 07 has different free throw rituals.

To fix both problems, just replace the "players.dbf" in the NLSC06-07 Roster folder with this one.

Thanks again for pointing that out and please let me know if you notice any other problems.

just wanted to know, is this fixed in V1.05?

Hi Shannon,

I'm getting all the players that are drafted in 2005 and 2006 with pink heads. Am I missing something?? I tried to put Andrews 07 rosters there but that didn't work (As per RyanP's post) as my roster file wasn't loading up. Apart from that, everything else is working fine and rosters are up to date. :D

You need the art files to go along with the roster itself. Look for Frenchy's thread in 05 announcements and download his SGSM folder, place all the files into your SGSM and that should solve the problem. There will still be a few pink heads but what you need to do is find cyberfaces for those players around the forum (05/06 and 07 faces can be used) and place them in your SGSM also. Its a hassle, but everyone has to do it.

Can the salary cap be updated to 52,5 Mil $ instead of 43 Mil $ in 2004?

Download Glen's cyberfaces for those players as I said. http://www.nbaliveforums.com/ftopic42143-0.php

If for some reason you don't want to download them, change the PLAYERPKGs back to the original, as Andrew said.

I have install those patch to sgsm, and when i load for the game i found those player nose and headshape is very strange
how can i change the head shape? i need to edit playerkgs which part ? so that i can let the patch run perfectly?

Is there anyone with a DB file that has all the salaries updated?

Mon Apr 16, 2007 10:08 pm

The salaries are as Andrew updates them, so I'm pretty sure they are accurate. It is included with the roster. You might want to check out this if your doing a dynasty.

Tue Apr 17, 2007 12:35 pm

Actually I must admit I've overlooked the salaries for a couple of players, mostly players who were bought out and latched on elsewhere for the veteran minimum (like Chris Webber and Jalen Rose). I'll be making those corrections in the next version of the 07 update though.
