great work - its great to have an editor that doesn't require ms access.

one question - what roster files is this editing?.....it asks for the nbalive exe - but i am not sure what dbf files it edits....is it just currdb or something?

I get the same

ERROR [IM001][Microsoft][ODBC Driver Menager] Driver does not supports this function"

Error.

I also couldn't install Microsoft Data Access Component 2.8

It says MDAC 2.8 RTM is incompatible with this version of Windows. All of its features are currently part of Windows.

I just checked and I have Microsoft Data Access Component version 2.82.1117.0 in my registery when checking with Regedit

I have Windows XP Home version (5.1, Build 2600)

also have Service pack 2 installed

It would be nice to see this great program work..

Can anyone help with this..

What version of Windows do you have installed?

What version Of NBA Live 2005 do you have installed do you have the patch installed?

Thanks for any help

Make sure after the installation of the 2 required Microsoft files that YOU RESTART your computer because it's very important to do that.

Reboot was of no assistance...

Postby SeaJay75 on Sat Jan 29, 2005 4:17 pm

Hello...

I am running Windows XP Pro SP1 with .net framework 1.1 and MDAC 2.8 installed. I get the same error many others are getting:

ERROR [IM001][Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Driver does not support this function

I tried reinstalling both and rebooting, same error exists. I have uninstalled the editor, deleted the .ini file, rebooted and tried to reinstall, the same error persists.

Any tips?

I appreciate the input, have a good night....

SeaJay75

You had no trouble installing MDAC 2.8 ?

I couldn't install it maybe because i have service pack 2 installed

But i also noticed you have Pro i have Home

Just trying to get this to work so i'm asking many questions

Thanks

I also re installed everything and re started and del the ini file and
have the same error again.

Unfortunately the program doesn't work for me either.

When I came to install the 'MDAC_TYP.EXE' the installer said that its functions already are included in my Windows version and that I wouldn’t need to install it. I could only exit.

I downloaded these two components when I was beta testing the editor:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en
http://download.microsoft.com/download/ ... FPODBC.msi

I was able to download the release version and use it without any problems.

Well I have SP2, installed the first one, the second one it cant install probably because of SP2 and after restart the program generates the same error that was mentioned before...

I've installed the component Andrew posted
http://download.microsoft.com/download/ ... FPODBC.msi

Now it works! (and i use XP sp2)
thanks !!

I guess you have to place the wanted roster files in the origdb folder, because you can't select anything else?
