DBF Editing Guides

That's impossible. NBA Live 2005's players.dbf file only has a CASH_TEAM (just checked, forgot there was an underscore in there) value. NBA Live 2000-2004's players.dbf files contained a similar field called SALARYTEAM.

Can't explain that one. If you've got a valid, working players.dbf from NBA Live 2005 it should only have CASH_TEAM.

To fill a custom team, do you mean? If so, yes; you can find the created player in the players.dbf file of your saved rosters.

You can either edit it from within the game or by editing the BALABILITY in players.dbf. Check out this guide to find out more about the fields in players.dbf, including player ratings.

hey andrew, sometimes when i click on the links out of my email, like 250 windows of the page pops up and it also tries to save some kind of file to my computer. Do you know what that could be?

hi andrew, i was wondering... if i start a dynasty play half way thru a season or watever in a new save file, then add a new cyberface/new ball patch to the game, will it show up in the dynasty file? or do i have to edit the .dbf? and if i do, how do i do that?

An update for the ball should work fine. If it's a created player that doesn't already have a face you'll need to do some editing. That's covered in one of the other stickied threads.

Hey, Andrew, i have a question as well, as a matter of fact, two. First off, if i want to modifiy the current salary of a player, the salary that he has in my saved Dynasty, which of the players.dbf must i edit? I edited three so far, the one from the main folder, one from MyDocuments/Nba Live 2006/database/workingdb and currentdb, and so far, none had success.

And my second question is: Can the team total salaries be changed? As in the maximum number of money that they pay for salaries. So teams won't have negative numbers
