Wow, everyday I find myself getting more and more antsy when I think about all the improvements made to this game. In the immortal words of Outkast and Sleepy Brown:

I can't wait, can't wait!

Man, all I can think about is the day when I go to the store to pick up a brand new copy of NBA Live 2005. I always pick it up on the first day it comes out and read the instruction booklet on the way home. If I finish the whole thing I'll just stare at the back and read the features and get even more hyped.........

When I finally bring it home I always want to pop it in when there's no one around. I like to enjoy that moment fully by myself for some odd reason. When I hear that voice say "NBA Live 2005!" I literally start feeling goosebumps form on my arms. I always watch the intro with out skipping it and then proceed to check out all the features......

My next step is to look at all the ratings and decide which are accurate and which aren't etc. Then, I take Kobe or Magic into practice mode and try out all the moves while admiring the new animations/graphics/nuances. After about 15 minutes I finally go to Exhibition mode to check out the gameplay. I always start on Starter just to learn all the new moves using my beloved Lakers. I watch all intros and cut scenes during gameplay while enjoying the new commentary that I'll get sick of months later......

Man, give a brother a demo or something. I can't wait to play this game!

I try not to think about the release because last year I couldn't sleep but daydreamed about the game for a month. Of course that kind of hurt my focus on school studies, but I still managed to have a really good year nonetheless. So this time, I'm gonna try not to get too excited until a few days before the actual release.

When I get the game, if I'm not driving in the car or on the bus, I'm gonna read the manual. But if I'm at home without reading the manual, I'm gonna install the game then while I'm in the game, I'm gonna look at all the new features and options before starting a mode that I feel like I would like to try first.

Hehe, i do almost the same thing, but i get the game delivered to my house coz all my local stores dont get the game quick enough. I get home from work, i see the note in my mailbox that there's a parcel for me at the PO... i jump in my V6 and get my white ass down there. I get it home, install the sucker on my pc and read the instructions while i wait.
Like you i watch all the intros n stuff, i like to soak it all up. I fiddle in practise, 1 on 1... then exhibtion... then after a couple exhibition games i jump right into a dynasty with the bulls on superstar. I dont mess around :)
Even if i get whooped early on i dont care... i learn the game and eventually start winning all the time..... though in 2004 i would sometimes lose on superstar.
Im gonna try and get a day off work this year, so maybe i can play all day and my old lady wont leave me, hehe.

Is that for the PC version? It does sometimes ship a week or so later.

My birthday's on October 20th... I'm going to tell my mum that if she loves me she'll buy me Live 2005 and another Xbox. I think that'll work.

$50 says I end up with furniture.
