Hey, I thought the roster update was great, and I started playing a game against the Heat. When LeBron James would start going towards the basket, he would stop and act like he was posting up and would not attempt a layup or dunk. He went without even attempting a layup for the entire game. So I selected LeBron for individual practice to see if i could dunk with him. Any time I would run towards the hoop and press the dunk button, he would lay up the same as if the dunk button was accidently behind the three point line. I tried editing his stats as well but he still cannot dunk or layup. I was just wondering if this is an easy fix, because I would really like to dunk on the game with Lebron! I can dunk and layup with everyone except for him for some reason.

I'll doublecheck it, but there shouldn't be any issues with his dunk package. Are you using a custom aiact file at all? I use the default aiact when creating the rosters, I can't guarantee compatibility with custom aiacts.

I'm having the same problem as aaal11, but with more players than just LeBron, mostly great dunkers like Wade, Kobe, Josh Smith, and Nate Robinson. I don't know if more players changes anything, but I thought I'd mention it. I haven't edited the aiact file in any way, either.

I've been exploring more and I cannot dunk with Wade and when I attempt to with Kobe, the game freezes up and quits. I'll try the default aiact and see if that changes anything.

Should this discussion be moved to the support forum? I think the problems have to do with a players jump rating. When Blake Griffin's jump rating is 75, he can barely dunk but can still dunk. When it's changed to 90 and I attempt to enter practice mode, the game quits. I tried both custom aiact and default aiact and got the same result.

No, the types of dunks a player performs is controlled by his dunk package value. I'm sure I fixed up those values after I made the conversion from 06 and even if I'd left them as-is, they shouldn't be doing that.

please upload your full aiact and anims to us and i am soure it will be fixed

As I said, the rosters were made using the original aiact file. You can grab that from the NBA Live 2005 disc.

Great job on the update, and thanks for all your hard work! Unfortunately, I'm having the same problem with the dunking in game

I'll check into it guys but considering that I restored the dunk package values - at least I'm sure I did - that really shouldn't be happening unless you're using a custom aiact file.

I tried again with the aiact from the disc and I was still unsuccessful. Is there something I could change/add under the save file for the update? Because everyone can dunk fine when I start the game with the default rosters. The problem comes once I load one of the updated rosters.

That would point to an issue with the dunk packages (DUNKPACK in players.dbf), though that's strange as I'm sure I corrected them. As I said I'll look into it.

I downloaded the NBA LIVE 05 PLATINUM, but language is chinese. How can I change to english? What's the name's of language files in the basic nba live 2005?

Other question:
The ART is awesome in Platinum, but I don't find the menu's player scenes files (bckgrnds~xyz). I think it's a .viv, but don't know what...

i have the same problem, with the dunking, carmelo can dunk though, when i load the 09/10 rosters they dunk perfectly, so the problem lies within the new roster
