NLSC Current Roster Update v2.1 Released

Browse "NBA Live 2005 Patch Releases & Previews" for some mods. I must admit, Live 08 has a lot more modifications available. But the good news is, most of the add-ons for Live 06 works perfectly fine with Live 2005. Just like mods for Live 08, or 07. You need to check them for yourself, and see if they work or not.

erm sorry to be a bother but one question though, where is the correct folder path for installation? I installed my nba live to
C:\program files>NBA05, however when i pick that folder the installation puts this as the folder path
C:\program files> NBA05 >program files

vista here, and I installed your AWESOME patch to C:\program files>NBA05
but it doesnt work.

am i doing anything wrong?

oh wait, i think i got it working now... i just reinstalled it, and then it went, u should now have the following options > load> rosters

It is like the older ones(07,08) when installing a patch?

Yes, it's using a similar installation routine to the patches for 06, 07 and 08. All you should have to do is run install.exe but it still seems that it doesn't detect the right folder for some people. If so, it's just a matter of moving the art files to the correct place.

You're welcome, glad I could do something for fans of the (more recent) older games in the series. Hopefully I'll be able to keep doing the updates for a while yet, as I've mentioned before I found some ways of streamlining the process so working on four games at once isn't as time consuming as it used to be.

ive noticed apart from the awesome replacement of the old generic and really annoying no-player image face into the b/w no-player image face (i dont know if u get me) and the awesome jerseys, some stuff has been subtly changed as well hey? the gameplay is so much better now, somehow.

still exploring the many awesome changes u have made andrew, but make no mistake, its awesome now (from the mod)

Thanks. The changes are most likely due to the fact the rosters are converted from 06 and thus the players are rated a little differently. It may be that some work still has to be done but that's pretty easy once you've got a stable, up to date release out there to work with.

I already installed your previous roster update which is the NLSC Roster update 2.0. And I already started a dynasty using the v2.0. Will I be able to play my current dynasty after I update it to v2.1?

Yes, Dynasty games already in progress are not affected by the new rosters. They will of course use any new art updates that are installed but the rosters will be unaffected and you will not lose any data.

How do I restore the default appearance of each team's coach?

What do you mean? Do you want all of the original coaches back?

Then just copy the original coaches.dbf file from the originaldb folder under My Documents, the OrigDB folder under the main game folder or from the NBA Live 2005 disc (I believe it might be on disc two) to the NLSC0809 and/or 0809Uninjured save folder.

what if I copy it to my dynasty?

It should work I think. Try it out, but backup previous coaches file first.

There shouldn't be any problems since coaches.dbf doesn't store any season data but definitely make a backup whenever you're tinkering with saved files, particularly a Dynasty game.

but not exactly that one. what should i do? i tried re-installing the game, then i installed the update again but
it still has that error. can you please help me andrew. ?

Thank you Andrew for the work you've put into making this great roster update. NBA Live 2005 was, and still is a good game, so it's very nice to be able to play it again, with up-to-date rosters. Much respect for you!

Not sure what's happening there sorry, I'm able to edit the shoes without any problems at all.

( okay. i hope you could edit the NLSC roster patch that you just did, make the shoes' color white
when at home and black when away. please ? and re upload it here. any kind of shoes, i just want the
color to be change. it is good to look if its like that. just like in 2k9. thanks. i'm hoping you could do this one. thank you so much.

I'm afraid I'll have to put that on the backburner right now, but I'll keep it in mind.

Just installed this, and it's awesome! I can't even imagine how much time it must have taken to put such a huge patch together. One question: I noticed that none of the players on the second 1990s all-decade team (and one or two players from the other all-decade teams) are in the Legends Pool. Is that because there's some kind of cap on how many players the Legends Pool can hold? This isn't a big deal, since its a pretty simple matter to edit the players.dbf file to put them on whatever team you want, but I was just wondering.

Every time I try changing the player's shoes, it says "CODE ERROR". For example is BEN GORDON, when I try changing his shoes, it displays CODE ERROR. Try changing Ben Gordon's shoes, and see it for yourself
