Oh ok, I figured it had to do with that. What change did you notice that I should look for so I can verify that the art update is working for me?

The Art pack was only for the 8 or so players that were missing from Frenchy's roster. All the portrait problems will be fixed with Jokers (awesome) update. The cyberfaces I won't be making, you can get them from other download sections. It's not really that common for people to update a roster and include art for any changes.

Only problem is that I don't think anyone has updated the players' hairstyle for 2005. It's really not making a new cyber face per se. Just taking the existing one and giving them close crop cut and getting rid of the braids.
I guess if someone wants to do that, they can do it.
Other than roster changes, and portraits by Joker, any other updates coming our way Fllite?

Yeah, as soon as Looser releases his Dallas and LA Clippers courts, I will gather them up the files from them needed to make them work in 2005. Just remember you can use cyberfaces from other games, just with ones from 07 I usually open them in FshX, extract the bmp, then put them straight back into the .Fsh to prevent any problems. So upcoming is every single court updated (all 30 teams + practice and All Star 07 courts), thanks to Looser and Lagoa. I will have to get permission from them of course, I will ask soon, but they should be fine with gathering up the files and making them work in 2005 for the people that don't feel like converting 32 courts.
Also, have you tried my lighting? Comments anyone?

Flite, the courts sound great! I downloaded the nuggets, cavs, and raptors courts from the SUM thread, but am having a small problem. The backboard box (where you aim the layups) are not white colored. It is red for raptors/cavs and blue for the nuggets. Hopefully your update will solve that problem.
I haven't tried the lighting yet. What does it fix and where do I extract it? I assume sgsm as always?
Is there a tutorial on how to convert 06/07 files to 05? I don't know how to open them in FshxX and extract it and put it back. I have no clue on how make a patch. I need more updates for my game, mostly cyberfaces (updating hairstyles/tattoos) and JERSEYS. Right now, I have the new Indiana Pacers jersey with NO NUMBERS. And a "mock" Bucks jersey with no numbers either (from Frenchy's sgsm). Also, I don't have the alternates and the new Raptors jersey.

Play a couple mins of a game without downloading the lighting, and take a close look at the players lighting, how they look. Then download my patch, chuck it in the sgsm, and play again and let me know what you think of it.
For 07 Cyberfaces (it works without it, but sometimes the cyber looks messed up, takes all of 30 seconds to do):
Download FshX from the mainsite, and download a cyberface which will be a (eg.) ALIVERS.fsh, open FshX, click open, open the ALIVERS.fsh and you will see a wierd looking face texture.
Extract the picture to the desktop as a bmp, then open ALIVERS.fsh with FshX again, and import the .BMP you saved, this will fix any problems. Then put the ALIVERS.fsh into the SGSM folder.
I havn't really tried any jerseys so I don't know how compatible they are, try posting in Jao's thread in Patching Issues, the compatibility list one.

Thanks Flite, I'll try it out.
I did post in Jao's thread, but he told me what to do for the jerseys, but he spoke in patch jargon, so I really didn't get much out of it.
Quick question. There is a Shawn Marion patch on nbalive.org. I like the one I have, but the one on nbalive.org has Marion's leg tattoo. Is there anyway to take just the leg tat and put it into my game? Like is there a file devoted only to the tat that I can use? Thanks.

OK fellas, good news and bad news. The bad news is that my roster can not be fixed, and I have lost all the changes I made in it. However, the good news is a figured out how to stop the crashing and am willing to start my roster again once I finish the draft project.

Welcome back man. It was with your final release, but I figured that I have to save it into the same roster, not as a new one, and that solves the problem.

I might know a quick way to move the birthdays for the players back a few years to give them the correct age. I will try it next weekend and tell you how it turns out.

I don't know who is doing the ratings based on the Frenchy-Flite roster, but I am a Knicks fan and playing the Knicks quite a few times, I would like to make some suggestions.
-David Lee is NOT a 51 rating. His rebounding and scoring in the paint should be boosted. Defense should be upped a little.
-Quentin Richardson is NOT a 53 rating. I don't think guys like Balkman, Jeffries, or Nate Robinson are better than Quentin. Everything should be boosted, including shooting and defense. Quentin frequently guards the other team's best playesr.
-Balkman's rating is pretty good. The only thing I would boost is his speed. When he is on the court, he is frequently part of the fast breaks. Defense, rebounding, and steals is Balkman's forte. He has no offensive game and a horrible handle (which is reflected in the game).
-Marbury's paint scoring needs to be upped. I can't tell you how many open field layups he has missed. Marbury is a great slasher and finishes well. He doesn't miss many easy layups unless he is fouled.
Everyone else on the Knicks seems pretty accurate or fair. The main 2 players to be boosted are Lee and Quentin.

i have downloaded Frenchy's OPENING NIGHT ROSTER - Roster accurate as of july 1st.
Will it crash if i will play it in the DYNASTY MODE?

Stop complaining about the Knicks roster. They don't need higher ratings. The Knicks suck.

I'm complaining about the Knicks roster? I made suggestions on 2 players. Lee is one of the league's top rebounders. He has more rebounds per 48 minutes than Dwight Howard. How is Quentin Richardson a 53 rating? Quentin is a starter/6th man. Why does half the Knicks bench, some of whom don't even play much in real life have a better rating than him?
Get past your Knicks bias.

RJHNY1, I only changed the ratings of star players to work with my simeng. That roster isn't supposed to be good, it was like a very early beta, so my final roster won't look anything like that.

Ok, sounds good Flite.
RSox, a team can have good individual players, but not work well as a team.
Some players should be downgraded...Jeffries, Francis, James, to name a few. Others should be elevated...mostly Lee and Quentin.
As for Balkman and Marbury, they're realistic except Balkman has more speed and Marbury doesn't blow so many easy layups. It's not something that has to be changed, just a suggestion.
The Knicks playing in the worst division doesn't mean the players in the game should be nothing like the players in real life.
