It's pretty annoying.

'doctor j'...

Get with it... Andrew knows what he is doing... He has given us rosters that have worked well from since, well I don't know. Atleast NBA Live 2001 or something... Maybe even earlier. Didn't much follow the pages when Tim was still in charge.

The fact that Amare can put the ball on the floor in mid-court doesn't mean squat. Even Shaq can dribble in the open. It's a whole different story when someones trying to take the ball away from you. And you are dribbling between guys etc.

And the icons don't mean squat... At 74 three point shooter is just as good as a 75 three point shooter. The icon is there to point out that he's got three 75 or over, nothing more. Same for dunking, stealing, blocking etc.

You're new and by the look of your text, you are young too... If you are so adament about these changes, well then do it yourself... Rest of us are happy with Andrew's rosters... He'll probably do some ratings update in a couple of weeks after seeing how the new guys play out with their new teams.

Don't expect Przyzbzbzbzbilla or what ever his name is to get much higher ratings... He just isn't that good...

LeBron is the man... He is that good... He is a threat to average a triple-double in the league in a couple of years... Especially if Cleveland gets Redd over the summer... LeBron is worth his 94 overall...

Get real... Once Portland has Shareef and Randolph back in the line up, Pryzilla will go back to scoring 1.8 points and 2.5 rebounds a game.

Don't come on the boards and start ordering people around... Nothing works that way... Absolutely nothing... You can always do your own roster patches...

He's got some points there and I love that 'Israeli hip-hop' attitude. Never thought I'd see anything like that!

I think he's right about Pryzibila(sp?), he should be a 50.

LBJ is worth his 94, IMO.

I don't understand why the CAPS are so annoying,it's not like he's actually shouting...
Now his gramar and spelling, THOSE are annoying...

Israel reprezent! 8-)

anyway, doctor_j, easy of the caps. try to spell their names right and lastly people won't really agree with ratings since talent is really hard to measure. if you don't agree with Andrew's ratings then why not change it yourself?

You should check the 'NBA Live 2005 patches' section of the forums if there's any help there... If you don't find it, you should PM Andrew and he'll tell you where to find all the needed information to create a roster patch to use.

Andrew's the man... You could also ask the other moderators and especially the patch makers about these things. Adreas Dahl is one for example. He does atleast somethings with graphics. Don't know exactly who else is involved with the roster patches. And who knows, maybe a patch that you like is already out there somewhere...

Check the patches section of the forum...

You can find information on DBF editing over in the NBA Live 2005 section on the main site.

but what that dbf does i just want to change rating & stuff i didnt under stand how it conects with what i want?

Tue Mar 01, 2005 10:12 pm

The DBF contains raw data such as ratings and player bio data. Modifying these ratings allows you to edit player attributes. Ratings can be changed from within the game, but there are some attributes that cannot be edited from the game's Edit Player feature.

You need to save a roster and edit the DBF files located in the appropriate save folder (such as players.dbf).
