Glad you like them guys. :) The rest are done but we're posting them a couple of days apart. NBA Live 97 should be up tomorrow.

Ahh, the memories... Nice work! :) Wish the screenshots could be bigger though.

A look back at NBA Live 97 is now online. My apologies for the quality of the screenshots, I should be able to provide better screens as the series progresses.

Nice job. I think it is cool to look back at earlier titles. I been playing NBA Live since i got NBA Live 99.

Andrew, I think you've been spending too much time with the 10th anniversary edition because you said, "Live 95 is superior to every game that followed it" at a previous thread that you locked ;)

I'll admit, it has some competition, but at the end of the day NBA Live 95's graphics and gameplay reign supreme. :P

indeed......oh, how i dream about the PA guy saying 'THREE!'...ah, yes.....:)

i really like this feature (the looks back) (Y)

So it wasn't a typo :) Yeah, Live 95 was soo awesome, a lot of memories with Penny Hardaway and Reggie Miller... but imo, I still think Live 2000 toppled it!

And don't forgett that NBA live 95 is the only game of the series where the mouse actually worked solid to play with :) (I used it whenever I played against someone).

I like this idea, I always read it and it's great (Y).
Screens are a bit small but that's not a big problem.

I'm afraid these got pushed aside for a while, but we're going to finish them off before moving on to the next big feature. Here's Matthew's look back at NBA Live 99. I've made the screens a little bigger this time.

On the main page, I wrote:Lutz opined that EA's decision not to give NBA Live 2000 this label was a promising sign as he prepared to sample the game for the first time, a time when "millennium" was everyone's favourite buzzword. So how does the "millennium edition" of NBA Live fare these days? Find out in our latest retrospective review.

somebody's gotta do Live 98....that game was the most enjoyable of all lives!

NBA Live 98 review :?

Wed Jan 12, 2005 3:19 pm

I think that was the last NBA live where you could hold turbo and run around knocking people over

Wed Jan 12, 2005 3:43 pm

Wasnt it the last game to have the hand check button also?

Wed Jan 12, 2005 4:58 pm

Lol... after reading this thread... I went and installed 98 and indeed I went around knocking people over using the hand check button. But it got boring very quickly and I uninstalled it again.... but this game was also the only one to utilise the cheerleading talent of the NBA.

Thu Jan 13, 2005 4:31 pm

I'm pretty sure hand-checking was there until NBA Live 2002...but I guess we'll find out soon enough (yes, yes, cheap plug I know ;)).
