yea, i have 6600gt and i recommend it a lot, i went from geforce4 ti4200 which i thought was great running at max settings, to 9600pro which i couldnt play live to 6600gt, and i got the 6600gt for great price, only 190 dollars, and this card is better than 9800 (Y)

Hey just wondering..which 6600GT did you get?

I've heard a lot of problems of overheating of the GPU core in a lot of the XFX and MSI ones. I checked the temp of my core when it's idle (~38 degrees) and full load with the graph in Rivatuner and mine goes up to as high as around 76 degrees Celsius, which is pretty damn hot. I have no idea how all the reviews have the AGP leadtek one at around ~60 tops. Just wondering what yours is at.

My new Video Card is the 128MB DDR3 ATI Radeon x700 PCI-Express (8 pixel pipelines). I'm running 512MB Corsair XMS DDR400 and the AMD64 3200+ on a DFI LanParty Board. This baby smokes  No problems with Live '05

Postby j3p0i on Thu Mar 03, 2005 3:51 am

Can anyone please help me with my problem... I currently have a GeForce2 MX/MX 400 64MB and doesnt have the resources right now to upgrade it to a better one... I have completely installed the game but the problem is just before the EA screen appears, it just stops to load and it hangs... What can I do to fix it?!? I would gladly accept any suggestions... Thanks...

you might wanna try older drivers, since the newest once aren't any good for older cards.

take a look at omegadrivers.net

does your computer freezes? or reboots? or just the game (can you press ctrl-alt-del to get out of it)

maybe this isn't driver related, could be hardware problems, especially since you have a card that old.

the pc itself doesnt reboot or freeze... its just the game... it stops at the very first screen before the ea logo appears... ill try looking up at old drivers... im just gonna update you if there is any improvement... thanks for the help... if you have any other suggestions, please let me know.... thankz...

you dont get to see the intro movie? try getting the latest mediaplayer update as well. I've had troubles in the past with intromovies (not nba-live but other games), turned out something was wrong with my mediaplayer and/or codecs.

i have disabled everything that is running in the background. I use winxp. does it somehow affect the games speed if you have other user accounts?
