I'm wondering since the different shooting styles will be implemented into the 3-Point Contest, if Larry Bird's overhead shot can be used when playing with him in an exhibition game or etc. etc....

I'll probably look through all the options, rosters, how they keep track of stats. Then a quick look through creation zone. Try out practice for a minute, a quick one-on-one game. Then a try out a 3 minute quarters game. Might take a look at the all-star stuff after. Then it's on to dynasty.

Lakers Vs. Heat... I'll just dominate with GP!

I always check the rosters first for accuracy... and I'm hoping they have an expansion draft.

i use to always jus play an exhibition game 1st vs. my little bro or the cpu but last year i went straight online and played like 6 games so i think i will do the same.

Going straight online can help my opponent rank since anyone who gets it on the 1st day and plays online will already be ranked rather high

after that i go to options and check out rosters

THE FIRST THING ILL DO IS EXPLORE THEN ILL DO THE PRATICE MODE.
THEN ILL PLAY A FULL EXIBITION TO SEE HOW THE TIP INS AND THE FREESTYLE AIR WORKS. THEN ILL PRACTICE WITH MY TEAM THE NETS AND START THE DYNASTY WITH THEM

:D The best idea I've read. I didn't think about it at first but now I realize that I always do that for every new game I get. Then I'll play a short exhibition game Raptors (or wherever VC goes) vs Heat. Then I'll try the Dunk Contest and finally play a Dynasty.

Check around the menus and such. Config the controler. Then probeblly create a player (me) and then go straight to practice and hang out there for 30 minutes learning the new buttons and whatnot.

I don't think you can go straight to Dunk Contest. If you can I think it wouldn't be as exciting as it could be. Imagin it only happening once a season in dynasty. It would certainly pump up the excitment and get the nerves on the edge.
I think the Dunk Practice mode will be the only Dunk contest related mode you can do whenever you wan't. Or at least I hope so...

I always do Exhibition first as a rule. Then I'll go into practice mode and get used to the features. Then I'll try out the 3-point contest, and finally the dunk contest.

I think in practice mode I'm gonna try and rip off the sickest dunks I can using freestyle air. :D

after haveing a couple of days to think about it i have changed my mind, i will definetly sim a franchise season right away just to see the new offseason. i will also try to make trades right away for draft picks to see if they fixed that(name me any team that would not take paul pierce right now for a 2nd round pick, solely cause its to early in the season). after that i will try the dunk contest, even though it wont be a highly used mode for me i must see the fuits of EA's labor.

:? I will start with an exhibition game to see how the 5 on 5 mode has improved, because this is the part of the game that is going to take 75% of my time. When i am satisfied with the 5 on 5, i will check out Dunk Contest.

BTW, i am still hoping EA can add Street Mode, it wouldn't be difficult for them since they've already got all the famous street courts in NBA Street Vol.2, they just get licence for them and add them in to NBA LIVE 2005, and it's done. It will sure bring lots of fun into the game. I spend lots of time playing street mode in NBA 2K3. ESPN has got 24/7 mode, which can be a game itself, EA could also add the whole NBA Street Vol.2 into NBA Live that would definitely double the value and the fun.

i rather Eq spend thier time makeing a good nba style basketball game. if you want a street ball game there are plenty out there. wasteing time adding a street mode to nba live will just bring down the regular 5 on 5 and dynasty modes, and those are the meat of nba live.
