Talk about NBA Live 2005 here.

I'm new to this site and haven't really read many of the posts yet so forgive me if these questions have been asked a million times.
I could care less about features online, in dynasty, or the menus or anything like that. I just want to know if the gameplay has really changed or this going to be another dissapointing season for Live. Have they eliminated that horrible run n' gun system and finally went to real simulation ball. I've heard that they have got rid of the ridiculous blocks and sorry fast breaks so have they improved the low post game and iplemented better turn around jumpers. I really have my fingers crossed with live this year. I don't want to have to trade in my copy for espn...again. And 2k5 looks good this year (i checked out, fear the fro fridays on their site)

Are those cheap two footers still in the game where a player can just come near the goal and shoot the ball with 2 hands and like make the shot 99% of the time?

I hope not, that pissed me off.

Important Question: Can you improve guys ratings only in the training camp offseason or can you do it all year? I don't mean hiring coaches for 5 games, I mean permanent increases. If you can do it during the season, I will be playing out every game 12 mins quarters! LET ME KNOW OK.

Waz up Mr. Shane
I got a few questions.
If you can start recruiting players in the middle of the year then how can you bring in the draft class. Oh yeah I hear you can recruit oversas players but can you recruit high school and college players also.
Are the overseas players better this year. Last year they tried to have a few and all of them were 28 and below in ratings. I want to come up on a Dirk or a Peja. I dont know about you.
When you scout people from Africa can you just so happen run up on a sad 7 foot 7 player. I would lov e his presence. Like alll them Europeans they are tall but they cant play so can you come up on some Yao Ming height.
I saw the rookievs. Sophmore game and the defense looks just like last year. Whats up with that. I saw I think Hinrich run clean into Ben Gordon after trying to shake. Whats up with that will the defense be less aggressive more defensive. Defensive players play defense noit just hack.
I heard you say that stand out defensivbe players like Artest play hard D. I hear you say that but did you actually see likea Hassell, Bowen, or Artest hold a player like Kobe to 12 points or something.
PDA. When you are simulating the Dynasty and you get a new message will they stop simming. I know I dontt play every game because it will be to easy for me to go to the playoffs. So, I simulate but will they stop me when I get a new message. If not I willl sim 1 game at a time.
Do they actually have where a player can drive baseline and rise on someone. Like Kobe did my dawg Yao. Can you do that this year.
I saw the vid's and this my last q.
Why was there all that collision and players throwing uthe ball up in the air everytime some one go up. It was a collison vid so was they just showing all the collisions that they had. Or is collisosn really that frequent in the game.
Holla

Mr.Shane this is an important question and I don't think it has been answered. When is the Roster Cutoff Date? I hope Shaun Livingston is in the game............

Maybe Shane thinks we can handle the rest from here, seeing as the game comes out in a few weeks.

In his preview, Shane said that fastbreak are executed really well by the computer. But the IGN review says the opposite, and judging the videos at IGN and OperationSports, it looks to me like that fastbreaking still doens't look right (both the offense, and how the defense reacts).

I've been busy, I do have a life...there's reviews out by people now, and don't go by major game site reviews or from what you see in videos. Go by hardcore fan reviews, and go by your own opinion....ie rent it before you buy it.
