they r if u make them ebo file rather than .o files..... and then do a lil face editing......so yo' wrong biatch, eat it. they aint perfect, but at least u have an editable headshape now...who cant appreciate that

You cant access ebo vertex data, and neither is ebo just a mesh file. The engine doesnt use the raw data that was used in previous years, raw conversion is nothing...

seriously....just in-case better patchers than me (everybody) are curious, all i did is extract the loda file and named it mijordaB.ebo to see what would happen, it changed to a .ebo file...so far so good...checked in game...nose and mouth are too wide when with a 2005 cyberface so i thinned em up a couple notches and thinned up and lengthened the lower half of the face with oedit (u have to leave the file name unchanged too edit it of course) then there ya go....an editable and managable cyberface that doesnt look to bad...i did it with phil jackson too cept i cant put any glasses on the guy cause they're all meant for other guys faces and it looks really wierd

what went wrong?, did i not explain it well enough?, the extraction from the disk and renaming to whateverB.ebo i know works...and of course...putting it back in a .viv file and then extracting it back to whateverB.o works for editing purposes.....back and forth, back and forth....no big deal...see...

...and i didnt just rename it cause look at the size of the file, it's from 2k4 and does work, want more proof or more help?

This idea of his does not work, and in general its a bs as I said before.
I hex-edited ebo and o files and they have enitrely different structures... I also took Jordans headshape from Live04 and set it for "Jordans" in game it was a generic face with big nose and big mouth. Then I took Yao Mings headshape and set it for Jordans, again the SAME face and no difference whatsoever.
Apparently Live steps back to general cyberface when he cant find the correct one.
And thinking that file extension renaming is the key of all things is a sign of ignorance. No wonder he didnt release "his Jordan" cyberface, I also traced the contour from Live04 cyberface to that of the side picture he gave and they are very different.

Of course you can release it, its not like you tagged it as your own creation. Everyone is releasing patches along with headshapes that are EA made, you release yours as well.
I can easily see then if it is Live 2004 o headshape or not, hex editor can do wonderful things.
I tried your technique and it ended up with the default headshape to be used (this is Live 2004's default behaviour when it cant read the headshape it was directed to)
Its real easy to prove us if what you say is right, its just that there have been patching experts in here and nbalive.org who have said that this is not a filename extension change and ebo files dont include just the headshape but also the data and lighting info. It is hard to believe that you renaming the o file can make it work.
But as I said, its easy for you to prove anyway, so release the headshape file you say is from Live 2004. Nothing more to it, simple.

dont really think you really need to start a new paragraph after just one sentence when its all on the same point....and there's nothing to release

Well its good that you yourself dont think that your words sound weird.
You could easily prove your every word releasing the Jordan headshape file you claim to be Live 2004's. If you wont do that, Im guessing you are lying, as simple as that. It is not a problem for any other patcher to release EA headshapes along with their patches, and it shouldnt be a problem for you to do the same.
It is no point spreading editable-headshape news if it really isnt so in the first place.
Doesnt matter, whatever, continue doing your patches.

No worries. We've all made similar mistakes before, its just that this did not have to be delayed so long.
Cant wait for your next patches

if it wasnt for u, i wouldnt even of tried to see if yao's head would work....your right, but it just looked so good, i just couldnt believe it was the generic headshape that ppl we're thinkin look so good for jordan
Sun Jan 23, 2005 7:24 am
oh yeah, i messed up on the patch too, accidently put john edwards instead of james edwards, thats fixed too
Sun Jan 23, 2005 7:30 am
Yeah well alot of it depends on mapping and such. The 2004 texture looks good on it though, but still it isnt the best headshape for Jordan, since he reminds me of some actor I cant recall right now. Like I pointed out before, too thin and tall face and the jaw is somewhat out of proportions (perhaps because of the sharp facial features).
WHat just confused me was your persistance, and I believed more than once that it indeed may have worked somehow (since I had the impression that you, well whatever, had many weird impressions)
Nevertheless, with all this I got the craziest idea I got to try out right away, if it works then you shall all know of it, if not then yeah, doesnt matter.
