It is a fantastic job! Thank you very much!! However i would like to know if there are an option to put black socks to away games and white socks to home games for all teams, like phoenix or golden state. It´s possible?. Thanks for your attention!

Hey jonthefon, where can I get dornas for those stadiums from your sgsm folder, because there are empty dark places...

I understand... Thank you very much!

vizowell: I believe that in the teamgear.dbf section, you'll have to locate the team ID, then the away jersey, then go find the sock color on that record. Use the DBF editing guides on the NLSC for aid.
Marek: I don't think 08 dornas work for Live 2005, I've tried converting them but they get messed up.

Andrew: are the ratings higher in order to get a better gameplay for 2005? The problem is that all overall ratings are calculated in a different way. As the roster was converted from 07 the ratings are higher but computer-generated rookies use the 05 method. As a result they have lower ratings.
When releasing my roster I didn't think of that.
What happens if I manually enter the in-game edit mode and have all overall ratings recalculated to 05 standards? Will it work or is something messed up?
Wed Mar 12, 2008 9:14 am
No, not necessarily. You could certainly adjust the ratings for NBA Live 2005 as you see fit.
The easiest way to avoid the recalculations once a user starts Dynasty Mode is to enter Edit Player for all the players in the roster so that the overalls are already recalculated and as they should be before the roster is distributed. I'd recommend doing that.

The ratings are not recalculated when I start a dynasty.
The remain the same...but cpu-generated rookies after the 1st season have 05 ratings and are therefore weaker than the rest (which has 07 ratings).
Entering edit mode for each player in the game is ... well...
I did it for a few teams. Players with 88 overall did not drop. Why not?
He, Andrew, can I set a player to "iscreated=true" and edit his appearance within Live 2005? Does this work to get rid of pink heads of unimportant players without cyberfaces?
Fri Mar 14, 2008 9:07 am
There shouldn't be any specific reason for players rated 88 overall, except that they've likely got high enough ratings to still have 88 overall when any recalculations are performed.
Recalculations won't occur automatically when a user starts Dynasty Mode but if there are any players whose overall ratings will change, it will happen when the user enters Edit Player or the player is traded. The same goes for players coming from CPU teams.

Please take a look at my edit as well.

Thanks.

You'll need to change the FACEID in appearance.dbf as well, but yes you can certainly do it that way.
You could also use the generic faces used for generated rookies (PLYR061, etc) instead. What I do with the updates for NBA Live 08 and 07 is extract a generic face that best suits the player and rename it accordingly (eg CJWATSO for C.J. Watson) and then make sure the player is assigned the correct PLAYERPKG.
The player then uses a generic face that at least has the right skin tone and if you choose carefully, an appropriate hairstyle and facial hair which serves as a suitable placeholder. You can then replace the art with a real face update when it becomes available and users who download the update can do the same.

Thanks.
Just finished recalculating all overall ratings.

 (except for allstar, international etc. teams as this is not necessary)

It's a tedious task, isn't it? It's a good idea all the same.

Hello Jonthefon! I would like to change Sasha Vujacic´s fields, i looked for savujac.fsh and i didn´t find it, why? What is the name correct??
Thanks for your attention and sorry for my english
Tue Mar 18, 2008 5:40 pm
Hmm, it should be there, I'll test to see. Is he in-game?
Tue Mar 18, 2008 8:17 pm
Yes, he is in Lakers, and he has not pink head. I looked for alvujac.fsh too but it isn´t in the sgms
Tue Mar 18, 2008 8:23 pm
ALVUJAC is definitely the PLAYERPKG value he should be using in any converted updates.
Tue Mar 18, 2008 8:39 pm
I don´t know, i return to look for alvujac and i didn´t find anything. But it´s something suspiciously because he works well in the game, he must be.

Hello Jonthefon! Have you seen the sasha vujacic´s fields yet?
Thank you very much!!

I have installed the jersey patch in to the /SGSM folder but the numbers are on the right sleeve on the front and not on the back at all.
Should i have installed the patch in to /SGSM/uniforms?
I also installed the Real Shoes X patch and only half the players now have shoes.
Wed Mar 26, 2008 7:40 pm
If the jerseys are in .viv format, they must be placed in the uniforms folder within sgsm.
Thu Mar 27, 2008 2:58 pm
vizowell: For me, the Sasha Vujacic fields look fine. I don't know what's wrong :S

Ok. I am gonna need some help here. I am pretty simple when it comes to installing these files.
The Real Shoes installation.txt file says to extract the
Accurate\Accurate07 patch for all
Accurate\Accurate07 patch for EA missing player based on NLSC
What am i supposed to do with the all the .big and .fsh files in the zip file?
Cheers
Jamie

Put 'em in the sgsm.

Can someone please provide easy detailed instructions on how to install the SGSM folder 100%, I'm currently missing jersey numbers and the bottom of the players shoes are pink and I think im also missing some court files too. Would be much appreciated if someone who speaks and types English can break down the installation process for not only myself but the rest of the NBA Live community.
Thanks in Advance

If you FOLLOW ALL PARTS on the installation instructions and install everything you should have NO PROBLEMS.
The missing court files, you will have to find in the 08 announcements section. 08 Shoe reflections do not work for 05, but once the final version of Real Shoes is released, I will attempt to convert it to make it work.
