Talk about NBA Live 2005 here.

Glove Guy wrote:Let's not go into the fact that Live is also on PC, because even if you're just restricting it to console, Live has still outsold ESPN. And I wouldn't necessarily say Live has the superior reputation, because even last year with ESPN's gameplay at a low, it still received better reviews.

You're the one living in the dream world if you can actually say, with zero bias, that Live had superior graphics in 2004 and especially 2002.(NBA 2K2 is still the greatest basketball video game of all time. All it needs is some sliders and they can release that and call it NBA 2K5)

It's a fact that the names Live and Madden sell better. EA does a better job at marketing their games, providing more eye candy for the buyer.

Much like how there's swing-voters, their's also swing-gamers. A $20 price tag will definitely attract a gamer whose looking to buy a basketball game -- any basketball game -- for 2005. It's happend with ESPN NFL, and I bet it can happen with ESPN NBA.

:? yea but depends where

NBA players like BigBen has big hands large enough for the ball and it doesn't mean that it is unproportional or small...

Don't get me wrong... Big Ben and Brad Miller look good and quite right, but what about Prince and Peja in the background!!! Prince for one looks like a damn gorilla and talk about too much muscle! Those guys don't have that much muscle atleast when just stading around.

And Prince hasn't seen that much muscle on his arms ever... That's a bodybuilders arm, not a basketball players... Centers are a whole different story as they play with strength, but Prince is everything but a power player... I wouldn't want to see those really strong guys arms in this game. Well, luckily I won't have worry about it as PC is the only real Gaming machine out there...

No cutscenes? So what? I mean, think about it B-Double: How long does it take before the average gamer begins to skip them anyway? One maybe two weeks?

I know all about it from the interview and I don't mind in the least, all I care about are the important stuff:

- Animations
- Gameplay
- Franchise Mode
- Graphics

Cutscenes are the last thing on my mind.......

Benjamin, with all due respect, they're just videos! Wouldn't it be wise to actually wait until both games are released to then judge?

Sometimes, and I mean this as respectfully as I can put it, you 2K fans act as if you're buying some sort of DVD. The fact is that videogames are an interactive experience not something you pop into your console to watch and admire perspiration and hairstyles.

A "real" basketball game can never be defined by just graphics, sorry.

If a "real" basketball game were defined by graphics then espn would win. Did you see the videos? The gameplay, animation was so realistic compared to live05. I saw videos of both and lives movements are no where near the same level of realism as espns. In Live the players defy the laws of physics with their super human quick reflexes. Its just unrealistic. Wish they would port espn to PC though.

BIGBEN2K5 and others: The "Other Games" section is the place to talk about games other than the NBA Live series. That includes ESPN and any other basketball games.

Furthermore, once again I suggest if the only reason you are here is to promote ESPN and put down NBA Live, you might be better off finding another board.

I was just about to tell all the ESPN fans to post their ESPN screens on an ESPN forum. I mean you know these are forums for NBA Live and yet you come here to post ESPN screenshots when you know 95% of the forum will go against you.

Yes ESPN looks good, although the jerseys are really shiny. Yes there will be competition for NBA Live but I can assure you that nobody here will go and tell you that without arguing that Live is better. Now I prefer Live because I prefer PC over console and there are many others who do too. Which is why I will never like ESPN better until I get to try it on a PC like a do all my other games. I played ESPN before and it's just not my game. Live is better suited for me and practically everybody else on these forums so don't waste your time trying to argue about which game is better when you know that on NBA Live forums you can't win, if you want to win an argument go post on ESPN forums.
