v1.00 released...

Here it is, the first NLSC update for NBA Live 2005. Please note that v1.00 is a very basic update. I want to make sure that everything's working as it should before I start making mass changes to the ratings. By all means, keep the suggestions coming as v1.01 will be out very soon.

You can download v1.00 here. The file is 640 kB. All you need to do is download it, unzip the files and run install.exe. It should detect the right folder automatically but as always, help can be found in UPDATE.TXT. The rosters in this update are accurate as of November 7th, 2004.

Don't want to sound pushy or anything - but we use your rosters for our league, so I am rather keen to know how soon is "v1.01 will be out very soon"?

I want to start a dynasty soon, but id it possible to change something in the DBF files, so that players like Karl Malone cant be signed by other teams, but once he is healthy you can sort off "activate" him for that season and put him on the team you want?

I'm not completely satisfied with the slider suggestions I've come up with so far, but as soon as I've got some settings I like I'll include them with the rosters and post them on the site. Like everyone else, I highly recommend setting the block sliders to 0 or at least in single digits.

Sure, I can make an uninjured version. v1.00 was pretty basic, but I can start building on that now.

I'm not sure if this will work, but you could try starting the Dynasty, saving it before Malone is signed and then editing the database to place him on team 38. If you do this before you start the Dynasty, he will be wiped from the database upon proceeding to Dynasty Mode. Then once/if he returns in real life, you can bring him back to the free agent pool (50) or any other team - just make sure if you add him to an NBA team, his TEAM and SALARYTEAM are correct and his ROSTERPOS value doesn't clash with anyone else on the team.

Jared Reiner on the Bulls is actually white. They now have a up to date photo of him on NBA.com now that he's officially on the 15 man roster for the Bulls.

Loul Deng should have a higher 3 pt rating. He's got 35 for 3 pts but he hit better than that in the preseason and the first couple games IMO.

Other than that so far the first roster patch is looking good Andrew!

Depending how much free time I have, I should probably be able to get v1.01 done ready for a Friday or Saturday release. Please don't hold me to that though as a roster of another kind (that being my paid job) is keeping me busy through the week.

I notice the roster patch has players such as Kidd etc on the IR....will the CPU controlled team (New Jersey in Kidd's case) eventually remove Kidd etc from IR and onto the playing roster after the minimum 5 games is up?

Yea i noticed the Reiner is white problem, and the nets roster which has brian scalabrine playing PG. I made a separate post about it before seeing it in this thread.
I played the nets and it was funny having Hinrich take on scalabrine.... unfortunately i Hinrich got in lots of foul trouble trying to pinch the ball from the big goon

Have you noticed Dengs shooting style in the game, looks kinda weird.... but yea he needs better 3 rating. But ive already started my dynasty so... ill just keep going I guess.

Well my suggestions for Rating Update is Kobe Bryant: only 75 FG, thats way< to low i think. If anybody has a (turnaround) jumper besides MJ, its Kobe. And Rip Hamilton needs more 3PT, those 48 or so are too low too,cause he can hit the open ones. A Rating around 60-65 would be more realistic I think.
