I've always just purchased it at EB or BestBuy, the day it comes out. I was going to order it at EBgames.com but I got scared. I really didn't want to pay extra for shipping and I was worried that I would get it late. Maybe I'm just paranoid. What does everyone think is the best bet?

Hey Boner, btw is that name from the character off of the 80's sitcom Growing Pains?

Anyway, I wouldn't worry about a pre-order. I'm sure if you go out on the release date to purchase the game you'll more than be able to find it. Then again, what area are you from?

Yes, it is from growing pains. I feel better knowing that someone on here is old enough to have watched that show.
Thanks for the advice. That's probably what I was going to do. I guess I was just wondering if there we're any way I would get it sooner if I ordered it. Just being greedy. But you're right. Thanks....

Not a problem Boner, and yup, I'm an old guy too. Now here's a lil' trivia, can you name any characters from 80's sitcom "Silver Spoons"? Gimme three if you can!

No, sorry. I remember Silver Spoons but I can't remember any of the names.
Things I remember about that show are:
That cool train that the could ride around the house on.
His hot mom!!!! was it his mom?
The kid who grew up to play Carlton(Alphoso R....) on Fresh Prince always acting like Michael Jackson.
Great Show.

- That train was amazing, not only did it go through his house but the many acres of land they had as well.

- that lady's name was Kate and she originally was working for his dad. Of course we all knew they'd eventually hook up but I don't think Ricky ever called her mom whe she married his dad.

- 3 characters: Ricky Stratton, Richard Stratton Senior and of course Ricky's pals Alphonso, Derek and the nerd Freddy.

Right now there must be a dozen or so NLSC members thinking: "What the heck are they talking about?"

Maybe you should use that in store pick up thing.
No Shipping.
Plus you can get it on time.
Well you have to walk (well in my case) to the mall.
It sucks, but you're getting NBA LIVE! so who cares.
Bored.

well, I did overnight shipping on gamestop (9.99 for overnight shipping) and the total came to $49.98. So it's less then last year's version at the store. I hope I can get it on Thursday or Friday.

When do you guys think it'll get to my house..because I've never preordered a game, ever.

I guess I'm old too. When the guy became the detective of NYPD Blue I was like, Hey, that's the Silver Spoon boy.

80s TV was the best TV era, ever, hands down!

As soon as I saw his username I instantly thought "Growing Pains." And yeah, it did feel good to know there were other members old enough to know about it. That show was a classic. I don't understand why so many people pre-order the game. Where I live (Northern California) I can walk into any store on release date, and there will be plenty of copies of Live left for me. Is there some issue I'm missing, or is it just where I live?

well, I don't have my license yet so I can't just drop by in the store. So it's nice to just have it delivered to me. Instead I'd have to wait for the weekend.

EB Games in Toronto, ON Canada is telling me that they will not be receiving the PS2 version of LIVE 2005 until Oct. 6th. But supposedly, the XBOX version is coming in on the 29th. I need someone to confirm whether it was the XBOX version that was pushed up to the 29th, or both.

Webster? No doubt, but what really annoyed about that show was when Webster would wear two different colored Nikes! Remember, one red and one blue?

It was always sad when his Uncle Philip (Ben Vareen) would come to visit, he always wanted to take Web away from Ma'am and George....

Okay, now who remembers ALF?

Too easy, ALF stood for Alien Life Form, and he liked to eat cats, but never managed to eat the family cat. He's even been on TV lately on some 10-10-220 type commercials. I think even a talk show or something for a minute.

WHat about these??

McGuyver (spelling?) That dude (Richard Dean Anderson) could make a bomb out of bubble gum and tape! LOL!!!

Different Strokes. A soap opera within a comedy (Dana Plato, Gary Coleman, and Todd Bridges were all nut jobs) 'Whachu talkin bout Willis?'

My favorite show by far was late 80s and early 90s sci-fi Quantum Leap. I absolutely loved the crap out of that show.
