OMG, who ever is playing as Houston is going overboard with T-Mac and getting turnover after turnover!

Just wish the picture was clearer though...... :(

OMG, the new dunk animations are off the chain! T-Mac went up for a two-handed jam that really looked like something he would do in a game. I'm impressed!

Ummmm...okay, I know the game is not a finished product yet but the commentary sounds like the same stuff from last year.......

This was exactly what I was discussing with Andrew the other day, I think they should got with unknowns as opposed to Marv and Mike. While they add authenticity to the game with their presence, they probably only get a few days work (if that) of vocal production.

If you hired unknown actors to serve as commentators (who had knowledge of the NBA and some background in broadcasting) there would be no time constraints and they could work year 'round and offer a plethora of comments. What you'd lose in star power you'd gain in diversified commentating......

EXCELLENT job with the animations EA, excellent! The dribble moves look very life-like and the post moves look waaayyyy better. They really put some work into this, I'm liking it...... :)

Oh great boring audio. Same things they said last year! I can't listen to it another whole year! It mean it looks good, but so did last year.
As long as dynasty is good....

NBA LIVE 2005 FULL GAME PREVIEW

IS THIS A PREVIEW OF THE PC VERSION..? (GOT IT XBOX VERSION)

OH WELL IM KEEPING IN TRACK OF WHAT IS GOOD AND WHAT IS NOT GOOD IN MY OPINION.

1. PLAYER INTRODUCTION LIKE LAST YEAR (FAST AS HELL)
2. NEW SHOOTING STYLE LOOKS SICK!!!
3. WHEN DUNKING THE BASKET SOUNDS WEIRD BUT BETTER!
4. NEW PASSES NICE!
5. TMAC'S dunk AUTHENTIC!
6. BUZZER A LIL' WEIRD.
7. GAME ALL AROUND IS GOOD, GOOD GRAPHICS, AND STUFF
8. LIKE THE TIMEOUT ANIMATIONS
9. DID THE REF GO AWAY AFTER THROWING THE TIP OFF?
10. This game is a "MUST BUY" game.

Thanks for the link man.

Those videos are friggin awesome. How long until the games come out? I don't think I can wait another week. I just plugged in Live 2004 and threw up after playing 1 quarter of it. I NEED 2005!

Feedback:

- Awesome when Duncan make jumper from foul line. Keeps hand in air until shot drops.
- The overlays are cool looking.
 Audio seems the same.
 Finger rolls kick ass
 Height difference seems more apparent. You can see how big Yao is!
 Crowd Noise is good.
 Yessss! We can pass into the post without our center jumping
 Alot of blocks
 We are rewarded on a fast break with a spectacular dunk.
 Looks like catch up problem has been fixed.
 Twice I noticed in second quarter, Houston goes for a double team and Duncan just stands there when he has a wide open lane. I was hoping they would make players cut. Those would have been 2 easy dunks. (I know it was a comp playing but still)
 Yao goes up for a dunk and pulls some Jordan shit. I was hoping the centers would go strong. He is 7'6'' and Rasho blows!!!
 I know the McGrady 2 hand dunk looks awesome but he had 4 dunks and 3 of them were the same. Where is the variety?
 Also, I was hoping they would show the subs come in, instead of appearing.

 THIS IS STILL THE BESTBASKETBALL GAME EVER :!: :!: :!:

The dunks are alot better and the sound is good. When they outlet the ball down the floor, you can like see the player jumpin up to catch the ball in the air which makes it even more realistic. When Tmac did that 360 windmill on the fastbreak made the game too realistic! It looks like they do have some of the shooting styles in 5on5 because Parker shoots like he does in real life. You can also see the ratings of the players when the guy subs in some players on the Rockets. Tmac is a 90, Yao 80, Sura 64, JJ 60, Howard 64...I wonder if those ratings are final?

Bah...passing still sucks...the guys look like they are skating down the floor. Otherwise, a big step up.

Awesome. No CPU catchup bug! :D That t-mac 360 was wicked.

Good find. (Y)

It looks too easy to hit a j in the cpu's face. I bet sliders can fix that though.

Also they show replays on fouls too. (Y)

Some dude said it looks just like NBA 2k4 in terms of gameplay. Is that true?

If it is, this game doesnt sound like a winner.

foodeatin wrote:I just watched some videos for NBA Live I still haven't watched them all, but there are striking similarities between the gameplay seen in the videos and 2k4's gameplay.

For the most part, Live keeps it's style. The players don't look real at all, they look like they're in a video game, but the graphics are better than in last year's game.
But it's the gameplay that looks similar to 2k4. I saw: dunks on every possesion that you want, way too flashy dunks, extremely excessive blocks (one on a three pointer.. how many times has that happened to you in 2k4  ), crossovers make me people fall down, players go for too many charges, ball got passed out of bounds on the first play of the game, etc. etc.
Also the defense looks like 2k3.

And that was all in the first quarter!

The vids are here. What do you think?

The part about the charges, that was a user playing against the computer and the user was mostly trying to push the charge button so that didn't make a difference. The ESPN people are still saying the same crap about Live, talking about the game speed is so fast and all that shit. It doesn't make a difference what either game has because if you like one company so much, you won't like the other one as much.
