Mike^ wrote:Hey, Andrew, i have a question as well, as a matter of fact, two. First off, if i want to modifiy the current salary of a player, the salary that he has in my saved Dynasty, which of the players.dbf must i edit? I edited three so far, the one from the main folder, one from MyDocuments/Nba Live 2006/database/workingdb and currentdb, and so far, none had success.

And my second question is: Can the team total salaries be changed? As in the maximum number of money that they pay for salaries. So teams won't have negative numbers :)

Wrong section. ;)

1. Yes you can. Just edit the player's entry in players.dbf, as I said in the other thread you need to edit either a saved roster or Dynasty (found in the saves folder).

2. Only by altering everyone's salary. You can also edit the salary cap, check out the stickied thread for more information about that.

3-2 Zone is listed as being ID number 1021 in plays.dbf. If you use DB Commander you can open up teams.dbf on one side and plays.dbf on the other so that you can quickly refer to the ID numbers and make changes as desired.

Playmakers has compiled a great reference that's stickied over in NBA Live 08 General.

DPMAIN is the field you need to edit. I'd advise against using Excel though as it's easy to corrupt the databases that way.

Is any what you edit to change the franchise mode (multiplayer, after using the seasons thing) so that all teams can have a player development window. As it is currently it seems that only the team you originally created on the dynasty as human has that window available with the ones you add on from the season save not having the option.

I am hoping this is the right place to ask about this with all the dbf values listed.

No. As you've probably discovered, with a bit of DBF editing you can take control of other teams in Dynasty Mode but it's very glitchy and doesn't really work as a multiplayer Dynasty since you can't access all the screens for the other teams you've taken control of. Unfortunately, there's no way around that.

Yea, I did discover that, there is a way around it though if anyone knows which part of the franchise.dat file contains info on the team that has all the dynasty stats....if we knew that we could switch it between the multiplayer teams and then have a multiplayer dynasty. I am not much of a hex editor though so can't help on that. I guess nobody has looked into this before though. It didn't seem too buggy when I was playing with six teams on dynasty mode.

That might be possible but no one's found a way to accomplish it as yet.

Changes are saved automatically when you move to a different cell (box) in the database.
