Shoe IDs in appearance.dbf and players.dbf

What are the differences?

In both files (app... and players...) there are the fields home and away shoe. I loaded the default Live 2005 files and players have different numbers in there. The numbers for home shoe in app... and players... don't match.

What's the difference between the fields for home and away shoes in appearance.dbf and players.dbf?

I definitely want to get rid of all pink shadows. Therefore, I have to delete all SGSM shoes but then there are pink shoes. => I have to edit the IDs but which? In which file?

Another possibility: what if I exported a default shoe I like from its viv file (or whatever)... and copy it with a tool hundreds of times.

e.g. shoe1.fsh -> copied as shoe2, shoe3, shoe4 till shoe 999.fsh?
