i got a problem using EA's lakers jersey preview and when i extract the BMP out, its got like a green background and so when i go to PSD to open it, its still green. how can i come across this problem? the thing i want to do is that extract an image out to re-color the away jersey preview to turn it into a fictional jersey and so if i re-import it in, it might still have that green background behind.

Export it as a .dds instead, then open the dds file in photoshop. You will need the dds plugin for photoshop which you can get at the main site.

thats what i already did though. its still green...anywho, i guess i had to work it out the hard way

what i did was what you had already said export as .dds and then open the dds in psd and selected the parts i want colored then i just used image=>adjustments=>selective color and then just unselect the little unwanted dots in the green area which took me a while. hopefully this will all work in the end though. if not, any other ideas i could do?

I just tried it, just ignore the green background. Just open the dds in photoshop, make you changes to the jersey (ignore the background) and when you import it back into the fsh the background will be transparent again.
