2 questions about installing patches

Postby RJHNY1 on Fri Dec 22, 2006 3:27 am

1. I want to install retro jerseys. For instance, the 98-99 Knicks jerseys. When I install these jerseys, will the 98-99 jerseys overwrite an existing retro jersey or will it ADD to the collection of retro jerseys?

2. I want to install the Sac Kings court patch. However, there is a 20th anniversary logo on the court. There are instructions on how to get rid of it. Basically I have to delete 1 file and rename another. Simple enough. What I want to know is can I do this AFTER I extract the Sac Kings court to the sgsm folder? In other words, extract it to sgsm as normal, THEN delete that file and rename the other one?

Thanks for the help.

1. It will be added to the collection if you add a new line in the teamgear.dbf

2. Yes, but you will have to delete the other file before the renaming.

Thanks, so I have to manually add a new line in the dbf before extracting the knicks jerseys?

Also, is there a tool to edit dbf or do I just do it using excel?

Thanks.

I'd recommend DB Commander rather than Excel as it's easier to incorrectly save and thus corrupt dbf files when using Excel.

You have to add a new line manually with DB Commander. There is usually a readme file with the download of what belongs in the line.
