Shoe code error

Hi,
I entered the code to unlock all shoes and it doesn't seem to work. When I'm at the store, it will say that the shoe is unlocked but when I'm editing players..the shoes remain locked. this is true for jerseys as well. I am also unable to purchase anything since it claims it is unlocked already.

any suggestions? is this a bug in the game? oh yea i have the PC version of nba live 2005.

I had that happen to me, too. Since I've downloaded Andrew's rosters, the problem seems to have dissappeared . Does it happen just to shoes and jerseys, or all gear you unlock? What I did was: unlock something, go immediately to edit player, give any player those shoes, save the player, and then go back and change the shoes again if you don't want him to have them. All you need to do is give the first player you edit the shoes, and than they will be available in that roster only. If you load that roster, make changes and then save it as something different, only the new roster will have the shoes unlocked. Go figure . . .
If you want to unlock the shoes again to try this, go to My Docs\NBA live 2005\settings and delete the nbastore file.

ya i just read some where on this forum that if you unlock shoes in the game and have a dynasty currently running, it may not recognize it. i remember entering the code in the nba store in the dynasty itself. nba live 2004 didn't have this problem. this kinda stuff should be easy to get right. its true, EA needs to spend more time and money when they port the game over to the PC.

The NBA Store doesn't work too well with Dynasty games already in progress. My roster update does actually unlock everything by default since it was causing problems for people who had already unlocked items before installing the rosters.

i ended up deleting the storefile as suggested and re entered the codes in my dynasty and they work now. the only problem was that i lost a whole bunch of store points but i guess it doesn't really matter since i pretty much unlocked everything.
