What determines if a post player will do a jump stop?

I started my dynasty a while back using the warriors. Diogu was a nice post player, Id use him to do that little bang drop step move to create some space and get the dunk. After his first year his stats went up, but now instead of that drop step, he does a jump stop which is very annoying for a post player. Is it because his dribbling went up?

It's the ball handling rating. you can still use the drop step, just stop moving before you hit the button.

yeah, they do that jump stop when speed/quickness/dribble averages 60 or so and none of those categories is below 50. that also determines the way a player shoots the ball (big man type of jumpshot or normal one).

I changed diogu from 50 dribble to 45 and he started doing the drop step move again.
