Best Team Strategy to play on the fast break?

i was just wondering what was the best team strategy to allow me to score more fast break points? At the moment, I'll be lucky to score any fast break baskets using dynamic.

its called a "leak out" ..... use your PG on defence and trust your big guys to grab the boards. When the shot goes up sprint to half court with your PG, when your guy grabs the board get it up court ASAP, your SG and SF should get their asses up court quicker and your PG may be miles ahead of the defence anyways.... This is also known as "cherry picking" but it works ;p

yeah good tip. in real life it can give half court coaches big head aches, so you can do that in games

Just like in real basketball, the speed is the key, that's why the suns are so successfull on the break. In live, lets say Amare is guarding ben, Chauncy throws in to him and he starts to back down, Have trust in Bens weak offensive rating and Amare's rebounding rating, so do what they call "Cheat" with Marion just like the real suns. Have him in kinda toward the three point line but not too far from Rasheed to not contest in the case of a pass. So that when ben shoots and misses, Manually run Marion down the court, he's faster that Rasheed so he'll beat him down, its not the literal "Cherry picking" but its very effective, have Amare pass to nash, He's speed rating is faster than Chancy's so have him run it up to half court, Manually running Marion past Halfcourt will have him sitting under the basket with Rasheed close behind, have nash pass to him, remember, its not considered an assist if nash isn't past half court, and that's a fast break, now in the 06 season, D'Antoni will have Marion at the samll forward, that's even better with Thomas and Amare rebounding and Defending, Marion can run out on the break even easier because he doesn't have to stay near the key, He's faster if not hte fastest forward so the suns will be even stronger. I can bet money that Marion's rebound stats will go down but his assists will go up. He's speed is as domanant as Shaq's power.
