Postby steelyplu on Wed Mar 09, 2005 6:36 pm

Will someone please post (explicitly, if possoble) the steps to use updated NLSC rosters online?
I have no problem loading and playing these updated rosters -- until I get online. Then it's back to default.
any help is greatly appreciated,

As far as I know, unless you're playing an IP matchup you cannot use saved rosters in an online game. However, I believe if you copy the roster files from the save folder (with the exception of save.dat) to all of the folders in the database folder (origdb, etc).

When I play online and create the game myself I have roosters that are almost up to date. Vince in New Jersey for example. But almost every time i connect to another person they always have the default rooster where Carter i still in Toronto.

I play with my friend usually direct connection, how do I use the roster patches if I play with him?

That's how you make the NLSC roster update the default roster, yes.

sorry , that i understood but will that allow me (if i host a game) on Ea online (not direct connect) to play other people online with the NLSC rosters ?

I tried it and for some reason it didn't work. I was a big fan of NLSC rosters last year online with 2004 and i just want to do it again this year

Possibly. I don't play online so I can't say for sure, but I believe if you copy the NLSC roster files to all the db folders (originaldb, workingdb, etc) in the My Documents and game folder, it will work.

Make back ups, but then copy your roster file you're using, paste it in your database folder, delete origdb folder, rename roster folder as origdb. There! You're done.

It would be quicker to just copy the files to originaldb. Copying and pasting the folder, deleting the existing originaldb folder then renaming the copied folder is just adding some unnecessary steps to the process.
