you need a controller with 2 analog sticks, then you can throw alley-oop passes with the right analog.

Actually...

"you can perform toss dunks on the keyboard... all you have to do is locate your nba live 2005 folder in your documents.. then go to configs and open keyboard 1 with notepad or sumthing.. and type this in

bind K_Z RYAXISCHANGE (note that Z is the alley oop button ..change to wateva u want)
bind K_V RXAXISCHANGE (note that V is the other alley oop button ..change to wateva u want)

and one more thing.. go to properties of keyboard1 and make it read-only because each time afterplay it goes back to normal and erases the 2 lines so read-only will fix that for you

Also you can't do all the types of alleys... but you can do your basic toss atleast against the board for the jumbrotron "

You can't - it's only available in All-Star Weekend games (specifically, the All-Star Game and Rookie Challenge).

You could always put up a tear drop (press the Dunk button when you're at about the top of the key), run in and tip slam the miss, assuming you don't hit a lucky shot. It is harder to time though, and you will register a missed field goal.

That's right. If you press the right analog stick during regular gameplay, you'll enter Offball mode.

You can also do it in practice and 1on1 modes.

You really humble your opponent in a 1on1 game with that move. Esp. if you're Allen Iverson.

By the way, I was playing a Dunk Contest, when I wanted to try that :
I rotated the Strategies buttons (the 4 buttons  ) then I pressed one of the Freestyle buttons and I did a toss I can't do when I only press one button !
All of this is for keyboard. But it's a bit hard because I can't predict the toss he'll do... :x

i tried what u said and u're dead right man! using the strategies (quick plays button) together with the freestyle controls works! now i can toss the ball to the camera and the jumbotron just by using the keyboard! though i must admit completing the dunk is much harder than i think.  btw, if u dont know yet (i doubt) try pushing the freestyle button again after completing a dunk successfully. u'll see that the player will do some taunting a dunk.  now i've got to practice with my 360 dunks using a keyboard. its so damn hard to complete one! thanks for the tip dude!! :headbang: :headbang:

No problem man. Sometimes I make a 360 with alley-oop, it's quite hard but it's "medium" !

also, in case u didnt know yet, try to make some combinations using only the freestyle buttons in the keyboard. if done successfully this will create other types of self-lobs like the turn-around overhead throw, kick the ball from behind with right foot, and behind the back lob to name some.

Please don't revive old threads.
As for your queston; it's the same button that you have 'off-ball' -control for.
